Sione, Kelly (Talakai, Idris)
Gutherson, RTS, Ponga (Cotric, Abbey)

Looks solid to me, lots of cashies on the bench still.
If you believe Ponga will get more game time, I'd say go with your gut. You've got Cotric and Abbey to cover.

I'm looking to do the 1st trade also, strengthens the centres hopefully. What are your thoughts on Capewell? Does he hold his spot? If not he does play byes but we really need our cows making money now. My other consideration is Hoare. His first outing wasn't great in a team that sucked on the night but he should improve and if his minutes stay around 32 minutes should be good for around 25-30 points to make close to 100k and is cheaper than Capewell. Maybe TLT will decide for us.
On the second trade, definitely nothing wrong with getting rid of a season long red dot to a cow making money, and Ponga is the goods. I still don't think Greeny plays him though if the others are fit so that is what you need to determine.

Ive currently got the following:
Smith McCullough
McGuire Kaufusi Yates Hoare
Gallen JDB Wallace Matautia Sironen Stone
Johnson Elgey Lamb Field
Kelly Moga Talakai Suli

Thinking my best trades are Elgey > Jack's and Hayne > Ponga...Yay or nay?

As an ET owner myself I am giving him another week. However I do like the trades you have mentioned. If you don't think that ET will get 80 mins under a new coach then I would say go for it.

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 21
TBO's Round 4 insight:
At the moment I'm not thinking about making any trades this week even though McGuire and Wallace under-performed in fantasy last week.
It would be tempting to move on Suli, Moga and Kelly however their average is still well above BE so will be holding onto them for at least 2-3 more weeks (given the my h2h opponents will have similar players and judging by their team values they won't have enough cash to upgrade any of their centres/WFB at the moment without an early cash out).
Cash cows:
Brailey - his place in my team will all depend on the situation with Segeyaro. Even if Segeyaro doesn't sign with the Sharks, I will eventually cash out Brailey for McInnes most likely during the Origin period.
Hoare - first game was underwhelming. Will be interesting to see his place in the team and minutes once Taumalolo comes back into the Cowboys team.
Yates - Solid player that I will be keeping until at least the beginning of the Origin period if he can keep his average to above 35.
KBromwich - Will be keeping him for at least another 2 weeks round until his BE exceeds his average. Either way I will definitely be kicking him out of my team when Harris comes back into the Storm team.
Jacks - Given that Munster will likely to be ruled out for a few weeks, I think he should be able to easily hold his average around the mid 30s so he has another $70K
Elgey - I will most likely cash Elgey out in 2-3 weeks if he continues to perform poorly or gets another season ending injury
Moga - Will be upgrading him as soon as he gets 2 bad games in a row (might be next week)
Kelly - Will be upgrading him as soon as he gets 2 bad games in a row (might be next week)
Suli - Will be upgrading him as soon as he gets 2 bad games in a row (might be next week)
Talakai - Will be replacing Hymel Hunt for 6 weeks. Will be interesting to see if he can hold an average of at least in the low 30s for 6 weeks. Can upgrade him after that.
Cotric - Borderline keeper for a WFB. Already proved that he can be a weapon in the Raiders vs Tigers game.
Ponga - Will cash him out at a later time after Coote comes back in the team.

I would go ahead & do those trades instead of waiting on ET.

Can't believe I'm saying it but little torn TTurbo vs Maubbs to give me a reliable centre among this cow paddock. Similar price. Thoughts?

28pts in 55mins no try against a good team is a pretty good start towards that mate

@TBO Nice effort, you got a lot in your war chest as well. i would be tempted to upgrade a ctr, or make a grab for whitehead this week. but maybe patience is key. good luck

Are people. Not concerned that if there's an injury in the centres that Whitehead goes back there and scores horribly again?

Thanks. I do try and keep some cash in the kitty just in case I need to make an important trade to upgrade a player. I think its good to be patient and accept that players will do have off games and to spend a trade for the sake of it might come back to haunt you later on in the season.
I think players that are out injured for more than 3-4 weeks are a definite trade IF they are a keeper. If they are cash cows like Jarryd Hayne for example, I can hold them because a) I can always sub him out for another player, in this case Cotric and b) Hayne is quite cheap at $200K so I can afford to keep him in the team.
Also a thing to note is that I'm more focused on my private h2h league. So even if I score under 700 and be able to win ugly (something that the Warriors can't do at the moment) I'll be happy.

The Aubusson factor?
I'm still giggling whenever I see a team with Aubusson because I know his switch to centre would be any week now..

Without Gordon there I would giggle too, but they have 'depth' now if you count bobblehead as depth.

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 21
My team for this week, got to as high as 8th overall at one stage but finished At 788th for the week with some poor scores from my cash cows :-(
A. McCullough, (J. Brailey)
J. McGuire, J. Graham
F. Kafusi, P. Gallen, S. Mannering (S. Matautia)
S. Johnson, C. Norman (R. Jacks)
J. Idris, N. Cotric
R. Tuivasa-Sheck, J. Tedesco, C. Gutherson (K. Ponga)
Have lots of cashies to upgrade later such as Yates, Moga, Kelly, Stone, Abbey and hopefully Elliott.
Want to move Sione in the centres and upgrade cotric very soon as I feel the centres is my weakness here.
Kafusi hopefully to J. De Belin or the likes.
What do you guys think?
