Even if Coote comes straight back into first grade next week, Ponga would still be a better buy than Abbey.

Good point. This avatar is terrible. And i guess there is every chance trading fajita is the right move. It just feels like something I'd do, and I'm yet to make a good trade this year. On that note I hope others aren't playing jacks this week..Liverpool_Bulldog wrote:Haha your bloody avatar cracks me up. Trading Hess in a couple of weeks ago was a forum wide mistake 3 weeks ago and now look what's happened.

Haha it was he or Brailey for me. What's happened to him? Did you trade him in?

Nah i started with brailey. This year I've traded in talakai after rd 1 and Keary. Followed it up with trd and hoare and then capped it off with lamb and jacks. As i said, no good trades and don't play jacks if you have him

Well that was some interesting light morning reading from pages 18-31. Kinda like reading the newspaper. Lots of negativity, PC shit, whinging and whining and then the last three pages (the sport section) worthwhile!
Now, onto todays games! Please dear fantasy god (or Ramesh if he's listening) let CS9, Teddy and RTS go ballistic. I have a wee fantasy team that needs some considerable salvaging this week!
Out of curiosity, what happened in the Tits and Cows game last night? Asides from the Hess love obvs as there are still copious amounts of jizz flooding this place. After deciding to get on the sauce I went down to the local bowlo and got messy... Missed everything that followed.

Titans let in a couple of tries but actually looked decent in defense over all, the cows just had alot of possession. When possession evened out titans started coming back and cows were looking a bit rattled. 2 big calls went against the Titans when in the cows 10-20m zone, they weren't 50/50, more like 80/20, both were clear it should of been Titans ball but rub of the green always goes Thurston's way nowadays. Off the back of both mistakes the cows marched up the field, a couple of penalties helped. First time hess punchd through to line from 5m out, second time he did it from 10m out. Titans attempted to come back, but lead was too much.

Cheers Showbagz. Got a few mates that are Titans fans and are blowing up elite this morning and a bit of stuff on FB as well. From a fantasy perspective how did some of the boys look?

I would be blowing up too, thought it was unfair to the Titans what happened. But we have to accept that Thurston's years of campaigning for biased treatment is finally paying off.
Ponga I reckon got bonus points early, but then came up with a couple of big plays so probably scored right
Hess I was worried about, alot of ball was avoiding him, not sure why as when they gave it to him he was almost through the line running at Elgey, when they did start giving him quality ball in second half he started scoring well. was thinking a sub 40 score at the 60min mark
Wallace I am pretty sure had elevated minutes again due to an injury, but might pick up more next week as well due to James being out.
James will be having a rest for a week due to shoulder charge
Thurston looked good early, then went quiet until he had 1 good pass to put Ponga over
Elgey actually was looking half decent in defense until Hess started steamrolling him
Thats all I was monitoring as they were people of interest

Pretty much exactly who I was looking for although also interested in Proctor as well. Have had my eye on him for a few weeks hoping that he could start doing a few of the things he was doing at Melb but no luck so far... I been waiting for Elgey to have a breakout for a while and was thinking it might be next week but if he is being a liability in defence it may not happen at all unless his inside man protects him a bit more in the line.

Proctor should never have really been on anyone's radar. He's just the latest in a long line of average forwards who were able to profit from playing under the Storm system.
