If people are looking for a cut price half, they could probably do worse than James Maloney

I think just 1 trade for me this week. Sue - Bodene
Potentially I'll do Hoare - CHN, but suffering the same doubts everyone on here has too.

sorry mate was only in regards to the Bodene trade, that can wait price wiseBoozecluez wrote:
If Slater scores 32, he goes up 20k in price
So leaving him until next week means it could cost even more if he scores higher.
Bodene' price will be similar to this weeks
Points wise Kromwich and Slater should outscore Bodene and Cotric too (largely dependent on cotric)
Slater can wait if you view him as a keeper, not so much if you see him as a stepping stone to a gun later in season because he won't make you as much cash, I'd get him this week

Can't decide whether to go
lamb to cleary (gets me norman and cleary instead of norman and jacks/lamb)
or
siro/musgrove to bodene
my other trade is pkaufusi to CHN
can anybody persuade me either way?

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 24
No idea what to do this week. Feel like i should rebuild the cash that i spent last week.
Smith, Brailey
Fifita, Vaughan, Faufusi, Musgrove
McGuire, ET, KBrom, SMat, Siro, Yates
Norman, Lamb, Jacks, Elgey
Suli, Talakai, Kelly, Idris
Turbo, RTS, Cotric, Hayne, Abbey
Only have 24k so thinking of cashing out a WFB/CTR cow to CHN
But then i kinda also want Slater but not sure i wanna go two trades this week
Can anyone see anything worthy of a trade?

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 24
Something that's been troubling me (as a first time player) is the issue of byes and Origin. The byes I can figure out, all teams have 2 weeks off so you have to navigate your way through that as best you can but what about Origin - is it a case of waiting for squad announcements and then planning accordingly or do you guys basically know who will be selected now (within limits)?
... and for byes - do you simply accept that each player misses 2 games or do you make trades to try and reduce that number?
Just think I should be planning now rather than in 6 weeks - thanks

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 24
My 4th reserve options are Brailey, Yates, CHN, (Lamb, Elgey, Idris, Kelly).
I'm thinking I'll put the R on CHN but keep an eye on the final lists of the Sharks/Knights game. If for some reason Seggy out, Brailey gets the R, If Yates starts he gets the R, if not then CHN keeps the R unless he's not starting in which case it goes to Idris. Benching Lamb this week for Jacks.
Sound like a plan? Or should I just put it on an earlier player like Brailey/Yates/Lamb?

ALOT of places can be made up over byes, any trades I do now will be for R12 players, Norman will be my No.1 bye target as he should be a guaranteed 50+ points in 3 tough roundsOzymandias wrote:Something that's been troubling me (as a first time player) is the issue of byes and Origin. after 12 I look at players who have just missed the previous round as they only have 1 bye remaining
I try to get at least 14 players playing each of the tough bye rounds

Unless Lamb is injured I wouldn't be benching him, 1 poor game in 3mulvy wrote:My 4th reserve options are Brailey, Yates, CHN, (Lamb, Elgey, Idris, Kelly).

For byes, you want to time your trades so that you maximise your abaility to field 17 players each week.
You probably won't be able to field 17 over rounds 12, 15, 18, but fielding 14-15 is better than fielding 10.
Having a couple of non origin Eels, Souths, Dogs, Roosters, Sharks, Storm players helps as they all play 2 of the 3 big bye rounds.
Origin players from these teams are not good, because they'll miss at least 4 games in 10 weeks due to origin/byes.
For origin, the Queensland team is fairly predictable each year, but NSW can be a real lottery. Who knows what Daley is thinking so its an educated guess for some positions who will play there

I'd almost be inclined to make a double trade there this week. Ponga may yet play this week this Coote being no certainty yet but not sure I'd go chasing CHN. Jayne looks like she will be 2 weeks away so you could hold but I'm assuming you've double traded every week since the get go by the looks of your team.
Ranking wise, you stand to challenge well with some smart moves from now on in. It's the backs that need some attention for you to make that push. That's where I'd be focussing for now while reaping some cash from your cows over the next few weeks.
cheers mate il ditch the chn trade. ive got 30 trades left (no trades firsst round). keen on fusitua this week as a pod instead of rts, if not anyone see michael gordon as a keeper this year, im 10 k short of going hayne to tturbo

True but that one game was one where they got smashed and I can't help but feel that will happen again this week. Storm on the other hand have a good record against the Panthers. I don't think Lamb's a trade, just not sure I want him in my 17 this week. If I did play him though, you could add Jacks to the list of 4th reserve options I outlined above. Any thoughts there?

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 24
His game was effected by multiple minus plays and barely any KM to offset a poor offensive performance, even when the knights get smashed I'd back Lamb to post a half decent score more often than not matemulvy wrote:

Cool thanks mate, but I was more asking about my 4th reserve options and my plan regarding the order the games are played in, thoughts/thanks?

Gordon better byes and price but Turbo with the DPP and higher ceiling. Fusitua is a bad option mate.
