I mean, I'll never like an ex Rooster and Blue responsible for 'The nade', but he certainly makes it tough to dislike him with things like that. This feels like watching Wiki run out for the warriors all over again, such confusing feelings.

I dodged a bullet with Hingano not dropping any cash last week. Damn easy trade for me - Hingano to Hampton.

My rage trade of Ryan James to Wallace won't be happening. Should have done it last week and banked the 140k, but the gap isn't so big now.

Makes more sense to cashout one of FWinter, Yates, Kelly, Talakai or Suli for the 80k odd instead.

Glad I didn't fall into the revolving door trap by trading Leota out for Hoare a couple weeks back. Had visions of some other Panther from last year, and I think Welch might've done a similar thing, but basically averaged trash all year, in and out of the side, and then pumped out a couple of good scores and made 100k.

Feel like the experience of being in my 3rd season is making decisions a lot easier. Banking 3 trades already is a huge improvement and even last week's trade of RJennings to Slater turned out shit.

The wait and see approach with trading in guys like Bodene, Whitehead and JBrom is paying off, whilst keeping Siro, Lamb and SMat hasn't burned me yet. Just need Ryan James, Merrin, Manners and Maloney to play ball now. Maloney obviously getting upgraded pretty soon though.

In saying that, I hope anyone that takes a chance on those guys earlier than most is rewarded.

Interesting to see Lone Scout deemed JBrom a sell. Finished 14th overall in 2016, 9th in 2015 and 11th in 2014. Hasn't averaged below 50 and only missed 1 regular season game in those 3 seasons.. Yeah I'm still in the wait and see camp, but selling now looks like a nooooob move.

Reminds me of my mate wanting to sell Issac Luke 2 weeks ago. After bombarding him with some stats, he decided to keep Luke and upgraded Ash Taylor to Macca via Hampton instead.

Which prompted me to write this since we're now quoting ourselves Razz

WT Winfield from 2 weeks ago wrote:Even though I have Hingano and want as much cash as possible, will be interesting to see how Issac Luke goes with Foran in the side.

Luke averaged over 48 the past two seasons, though only played 20 games both years and 16 in 2014, but down 76k so far to 383k, might be an option for Brailey in a few weeks if I can't raise the cash for McInn.

SJ is back to kicking goals over Luke, but who knows how long that will last with whatever leg issues SJ always suffers from.

and finally, to answer a lot of questions from Monday and Tuesday pre-TLT:

"player x and player y to Frawley and Cook?"

No, they look like bad trades.

So far have gone Talakai > CHN (bit annoyed i didnt get him last week but how was i suppose to know he was going to get more game time). Second trade of Suli > Dedwards, seems to have been talked up a bit by others.

Not sure if i should keep one of those cows and trade out a peaked forward for some more bank. KBrom and SMat are the candidates for that trade.

    Any thoughts lads?

No way JBrom is a sell. All his bad scores are explainable - injury, then lower involvement coming back from injury, then last week where he had zero second half metres because the Storm literally had the ball twice while he was on and scored two long range tries.

Not sure he's a player you'd have in your final 17, but he should bounce back to being a 450k prop. I don't have him, but next week is probably his bottom and will be looking to bring him in not sell him. How is Scout doing anyway?

Hmm, i was actually (and still am if I'm honest) really tempted to trade in Hampton this week. I like him and I think he probably scores a try this week for a high 40's score (I also really just want to get rid of LG tbh).

However, If i instead jump on the Tulip train and trade Talakai for CHN, it lets me bring Maubs down to CTR and gives just enough cash to go Faufusi to Whitehead. That means I'd have TTrbo/Cotric, Smat and Maubs at CTR, Billy, Holmes, RTS and Cotric/TTrbo at WFB.

The points I would get just this week alone being able to run Whitehead over Faufusi and CHN over whoever i leave out of that CTR/WFB (likely billy or Smat) seems worth it, especially so if Smat is a late withdrawal as I'd currently have to play Talakai/Idris before trades.

Still not certain, but it does seem like the sensible decision when i put it down on paper like this... scratch

    Bodene named too.

After trading him in last week, don't want to trade him straight out again, but am concerned about injury.

Im slowly going through the posts, so perhaps this has already been commented on, but Kearney was on the radio in NZ the other day. Said he (Bodene) is the only player he is "sweating on" and it is the result of a bruised heel, or at least that's what Kearney thought it was.

It doesnt sound like Bodene is a trade out, but he might be a game or so away from confidently being able to say he is an 80 min guy again.

Overall Smat looks like he has to go imo, you have plenty of cash raising elsewhere.
