So now I'm hoping Hurrell doesn't play because then I get Moga as my CTR emergency in draft alongside BW's 50.

WT Winfield wrote:After a couple more games this weekend and 70+ scores, people are gonna forget all about Macca and the 4 trades required to bring him in next week.
If Kodi scared you away when Macca was 428k, then those fears were confirmed last night. Hunt's injury was a reprieve for Macca owners, but doesn't seem serious and by the time you raise the cash, he'll be back with Kodi on the bench.
I'm looking forward to when Merrin, Ryan James and Maloney make a split second play or two and score 80+ and become the talk of the town.. for a day.
How do we know you're not just a Macca owner and you're trying to scare us all off him? Nah really though his scores are bound to come down and McInnes is more of a POD option. My 2 trades next week will be used to get a 2nd gun HOK in, who it is I haven't decided yet.

I've noticed a little 'friendly' inter-state rivalry on here .... things must really kick-off during State of Origin eh? Something I've heard about but never experienced - looking forward to it

Was there any reason Friend was subbed off for so long?

Not sure, wasn't injury related anyway.wolfking wrote:Was there any reason Friend was subbed off for so long?
Making it harder to upgrade Brailey.
Smith and Macca expensive, Friend not getting 80 min, might be forced to go McInnes or cheaper options in Luke, Hodgson or Lichaa

It usually heats up towards game one.. Then game one happens. NSW fans realise their team is pathetic and no chance. Then it quietens down as the QLD'er fans are humble enough to not kick a man when he is down.

Love the origin banter around here come May/June. It's cute watching the Blues fans think they are competitive and then you can feel the tears and anger throughout the site.
It's a beautiful thing.

It does open a few options, at the moment I'm looking at a back 5 of:
Turbo, SMat
RTS, Cotric, Abbey
Not to keen on either of the Tigers against the Cowboys.
He did look a fair bit better though. Still not a fullbacks arsehole, but he was a lot keener.

Well I moved here with my Aussie girlfriend who is a Queenslander & life-long Broncos fan .... I guess I have no choice That said, i won't get the full effect, it will be like her watching the Manchester derby with me and not really getting it.

Won't take long, mate. Don't worry, you'll get into it.
You shoudl support the kiwis on the May test though, just to have a bit of banter with the missus... and then console her with smugness when the Aussies lose.

Liverpool_Bulldog wrote:Brenko Lee is interesting, an average of 36 with no tries and 1LB. Bulldogs attack has been pretty poor too, could explode if the dogs sort it out.
As allready mentioned, Brenko could find himself on the wing or out, depending on what Des does with MBye. Bloke did go pretty well on the wing at the Raiders though. But they have Hilland returning as well soon.

Abbey was great in that game as a young fullback in his third game, a team under heavy scrutiny and absolutely horrible conditions. Couldn't have expected much better from him.
He wasn't even that bad in his first couple, he didn't set the world on fire, but again young fullback in his first couple of games and the whole team had been looking bad.
Surprise when they got a real half back everyone looked better.
Seems very premature to be writing him off so much already.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the Warriors v2.0 go. Can't do any worse than the NRL version due to the addition of an actually good backline

Holy Crap, was feeling under the weather last night so hit the hay early, woke this morning to watch the recording feeling sorry for myself for selecting Moga again after seeing his pitiful Carteresk effort. Checked the scored and wow 51 points. 234 metres gained, I didn't realise they gave out points for running onto the field.
Was so close to bringing in Friend yesterday too.
I must of been kissed on the dick by a fairy last night, shame I couldn't feel or remember it.
EDIT: that fairy is of the female type.

Has Friend been getting 80mins the last few weeks?
I did see a moment where he was tackled whilst being held up and appeared to be in a bit of discomfort so potentially that is why he was subbed??
I am interested in Friendy as a potential Cam Smith temp replacement through the SOO period.
