426/9 and thats with abbey's 2, looking like I'll finally break the 800 hymen for the season

ps. anyone got an opinion on hess?, didn't see the game either, 2 tries in 60min for 50 pts? seems like w/ taumalolo back thosee base stats just aren't there

Yes, Uate injured in warm-up. Manly had to get exemption to play Wright, because he'd actually been dropped from the 21 man squad the day before.

Hess got 2 tries, but could easily have had more. They gave him heaps of short balls close to the line, and he's strong enough that he came close to forcing his way over a few times

Taumalolo is so in my team after Origin.

This is the best week of fantasy for me this year. I'm 445 with 8 to play including Cap'nCam. Maybe just maybe, I'm a chance for my first 800

Thought I'd look into Booze's whinge about tackle breaks.

First 5 rounds of 2016 there were 2130 tackle breaks.
First 5 rounds of 2017, that has increased to 2334.

An average of 5 extra TBs every game, roughly a 10% increase.
Total scores will remain fairly constant, because every 3 point TB means a -2 missed tackle for someone else, but it does benefit the crab runners who pick up TBs easily

TBs are overpowered, but we've known this for years, and I don't think it will change, because unless they change a whole bunch of other stats to compensate it will make backs useless again.

Are people seriously still holding on to Brailey? This is the 4th week Seggy has been on the bench, he should have been a priority trade way earlier. It's not like it came as a surprise, we all knew it was coming and the time to generate funds was as soon as Seggy signed.

Someone needs to tell Ryame Janes about this flash sale on TBs.

Him and Merrin have really buried my strategy of spending big money in the forwards and sacrificing the halves/backs this year. Pre-season, they were the bottom 2 of my 'big 6' in the forwards that I thought about ditching for a 3-400k prospect instead and spending that cash on at least one of Cleary, SJ, CWalker or Teddy.

Kicking myself for not picking up on Wallace for one of James or Merrin and maybe even getting two of the aforementioned.

That feeling of owning James 2 seasons ago when he'd score 35 most weeks, followed by a 55 when you thought about trading him out, only to get burned again for keeping the faith.. Then not owning him at all last year, which pretty much meant your season was over from the start.

Then that feeling of passing up on Merrin twice last year and regretting it. The first didn't bother me so much when he bottomed out since it did seem like his gun days might've been over with the shift to the Panthers, but the second time when I chose Gall over him to close out the season and regretted it every week just stung too much.

    Anyway, fuck those guys.

    What about CHampton last night?

Fensom's quick stint and injury probably helped a lot, if not with minutes, then the extra tackle workload he picked up. Was pretty busy on both ends though, thought the scorers were rorting him after two good runs and like every tackle in the following set and only went up +1, so I guess that's where the update came from.

Kicking myself again for locking Yates in so early and not taking the time to ponder on Frankenstein or Hampton a bit more, but oh well, Idris in for Uate thanks to the guys on this forum was a huge win. Real fkn huge. Legendary even.

That one suggestion of Brailey out, Hampton to HK and Frawley in HLF has caught my attention.

Have enough to swap Yates for Whitehead though, so definitely doing that. Have to cut ties with Kelly though, so will have to see if there's any decent cashout options, otherwise might be doing that Frawley trade.

Had a look at Hampton after that 54 to see what we can expect.
Rise of around 26k this week with B/e of -2 next week.
3 weeks of 30's has his price around 236k with a B/e of 11 when Granville is due back. 3 weeks of 35's has him around 253k with a b/e of 8 Granville is due back. 3 weeks of 40's has him around 270k with a b/e of 4 when Granville is due back

    Just thinking.

All those Brad Abbey owners out there, must be relieved he hit his break even bounce

    One more... Kritchard.

Still making money. Got to be a hold until after origin right. Break even of 8 this week and then should peak at some stage around 200k profit.

    Then what?

320/8 dropped 13k ranks so far this week, forwards massively underperforming with Wallace, JWH and ET not even making 40.

Missed most of the games this week, can anyone answer these?
What happened to ET? started so promising but had 10 MT?
Why did Critchon and Taum both play 80min? Injuries?

definitely alot of thought required for next weeks trades. do you bring in underpriced previous guns? or bite the bullet and bring in perfoming guns. But thinking Brailey to Hampton and Lamb to Surgess may be on the cards....with ET to Surgess/taum /whitehead also possible hmmm

Not sure to bring in pimple or BJ. Either one of them should end in a sense of relief.

Upgraded 42 points to 548/11. Still maintaining the nearly 50 average per player. Smith (c), Fifita, F. Kaufusi, SJ, Gutherson & RTS to play. Hoping to crack 900.
I've only used 1 trade this round = Brailey to Cook. From now until round 12 I will only going to use 1 trade & these will be round 12 players. Next week probably will be Lamb to Frawley but Taumalolo is screaming out to be picked.
