So, at what point do we all trade in Trent Merrin?

Origin and byes mean he is not as tempting as some, but he'll likely be under $400k soon.

    That would be interesting.

There is a feature in VSDT (Past Stats) that shows how a player has performed on average in Rounds 1-8 v Rounds 9-18 v Rounds 19-26 since 2009. It shows that Smith's averages drops signicantly in the middle third of the season and then rises after Origin.

The Panthers seem to be struggling at the moment... Maybe Merrin will start to play better when the team starts to gel again

The way I see it if everyone before they posted said to themselves "I'll try not be a cunt" we'd all have a nicer time.

So with that in mind, let's all just get along.

I've got Captain Teddy in line for MNCC

I picked up Merrin last year after Origin and he was great, but was playing big minutes. Didn't he start off really slow with shit minutes last year? Definitely on the radar again for post Origin.

Merrin will come good, no doubt. Worth a punt once he bottoms out IMO.

Also, can't find any info on Sironen, and not listed in any casualty ward. Could it be that he got hooked? He was pretty fucking lazy out there I guess. I thought he'd become a consistent 40 point player but old habits die hard I guess. Didn't want to trade this week if I could help it but he's on the chopping block.

    Holmes did well....
Fifi and Gal, both with a try, you would expect more.
But saying that, it was a game full of errors and penalties.

No updates to Brailey or Merrin.. 893 with just Idris remaining. Pretty happy with that considering Siro and Hampton were in the 17.

Merrin won't be going anywhere for me. 7 rounds isn't a huge sample size and it was only that 23 that was a real dud score. Every gun will score in the 30s from time-to-time.

Plenty of experienced players will trade him in soon, whether by being astute and buying low or being forced to when someone goes down with injury/suspension and there aren't any other guaranteed options at his price.

So I'm looking at the following trades in the next few rounds.

Mitch Moses (if he goes to the eels) for Jacks
Gurgess for Yates in the FRF
    Whitehead for CHN
    Hayne for Kelly (via Cotric)

    A few risky moves...
