I know team values at this stage can be irrelevant, but what do we think par would be?

    my trades thus far

    rd 1
rd 2 rts - ponga, musgrove - hess.
rd 3 moga - slater, elgey - fogerty
rd 4 hayne - rts, akaoula - chn
    rd 5 jacks - frawley, brailey-cook
    rd 6 yates - crichton
    rd 7

    some good trades some random.

rts out in round 2 for ponga and then bak in round 4 is a bit strange but i think its worked out ok
dumping musgrove for hess rd 2 and grabbing ponga has make alot a cash and have been my best trades so far as well as the slater and chn trades. yates to crichton also worked well. elgey to fogerty, cant remember why i made that trade.
brailey to cook and jacks to frawley, not sure on these they may work out ok if frawley gets a start soon and farah plays SOO

It's unbelievable and life really isn't fair sometimes. Amazing to think that we were just talking to him on here and now he is gone. Feel so sad for his family and loved ones. Fantasy is a great game but sometimes you need to remember what's important in life and not take your time and your family and ones that care about you for granted. For someone to die so young is just cruel.

Really, no matter what happens in here and with our teams, at least we will all be able to see this great year of footy out and finish our teams on our own accord. Rob unfortunately doesn't get to do that, and that's a terrible thought even if it is so trivial but it's something that he loved and I think we can all relate.

    RIP mate.

I know we're getting close to page 51, but I would like to suggest to postpone the party to the next thread in honour of R0bDog.

    What do you guys think?

Controversial statement maybe (I didn't know him personally obviously).

But would he of wanted us to not have a party and not talk about Fantasy etc?

rnd 2 - pythian -> abbey (complete waste in hindsight).
rnd 3 - moeora -> addin fonua blake (sideways)
rnd 3 - suli -> slater (thumbs up)
rnd 4 - kelly -> CHN (thumbs up)
rnd 5 - addin fonua blake -> whitehead (thumbs up)
rnd 5 - elgey -> hampton (complete waste in hindsight)
rnd 6 - siro -> crichton (thumbs up)
rnd 6 - lamb -> a reynolds (thumbs up until hip injury)
rnd 7 - jacks -> nikorima (complete waste in hindsight)

bit all over the place when i look back at it.

Wish abbey would have been Ponga. AFB was a bit of cash shuffling. TBH cant do much about hampton. could of been frawley which would make for the same result. kind of wish i just i just went to a 138k instead of nikorima last week. An AE would of resulted in a better score.

Your round 5 trade... Whitehead didn't play round 5. Why did you do that lol?

New acronym for the front page glossary in tribute to a good young fella who posted and played well

    WWRD

    Meaning: What Would RobD0g Do

Used in respect when you're torn between an A vs B or option 1 or 2 scenario

    Cheers

ah, bit confusing - they are list as 'after' round X. so i brought in whitehead after round 5 for his first game back.

eg first trades of year were after rnd 2.

Only knew Rob through the forums and FB pages mate.

However, I can confirm Rob was a bit of a trade whore Very Happy . His Bani Rubble's went very close to the title in 2013 (or could have been 2012, but pretty sure it was 2013). He was Top 20 with a month or so to go, unfortunately though got completely destroyed by injuries and had no trades left. I think he finished in the 100's that year.

I remember the identical thing happened to him a year or 2 after that. Same thing, right up there with a gun squad but injuries again.

I can also confirm that he used to revel in the fact the way he spelt his username annoyed the hell out of us Lol Whenever you tried to find him in the list to PM him it wouldn't come up because it wasn't spelt RobDog, he had a zero or a capital O in there as well for one of the'o's! The Sportal search function was very sensitive so you had to pretty much spell it right to find a name.

Rob wasn't a prolific poster but what he posted was almost always DT/Fantasy related, as opposed to me...It was the same on the FB pages. He was around Sportal for years; I found the place in 2011 and he was allready posting, which is why so many were surprised at how young he actually was.

Tributes flow for Queensland goalkeeper who died during match

Tributes are flowing for a young amateur soccer player who died after collapsing during a match in Queensland on the weekend.

Blackstone United Dragons goalkeeper Robert Carpenter collapsed just after 1.30pm on Saturday at the Eagles Sports Complex in Mansfield, south of Brisbane.

Mr Carpenter was treated at the scene by paramedics but later died at Princess Alexandra Hospital.

It is believed the 25-year-old suffered a heart attack or other sudden medical condition.

Team chairman Jeremy Bruce said a spectator shouted out Mr Carpenter had collapsed while the play was at the other end of the field.

"It was very unexpected," Mr Bruce said.

    "Unfortunately, he couldn't be saved."

Mr Carpenter's sister Melanie Fryer posted on Facebook that her brother died doing what he loved.

"This will be a massive shock to many, and please help and guide us through this trying time," Mrs Fryer said.

"May you rest gently and quietly. I love you my big brother."

Blackstone United Dragons are part of the Queensland Christian Soccer Association, which encourages games to be played on days other than Sunday.
