I don't know mate, I don't have an issue with it to be honest.
Fifita isn't in any way condoning what Lodge has done and as was the case with Lodge's Mum, is just showing some support to someone they know/love.

I can't get my head around this 'friend' analogy of yours SI - might as well have been discussing your pet unicorn.
In any case, it's fairly obvious that Lodge isn't the full quid and I maintain that I don't have an issue with a mate sticking by him and at the same time hoping he sorts his shit out for everyones sake.
