    Kalyn Ponga

    Prozone: 10 tackle breaks
    Champion: 6 tackle breaks
    Fox: 2 tackle breaks

    Total TBs for the cowboys Eels match
    Prozone 62
    Champion 41
    Fox 32

    So I'd suggest a large factor would be Prozone having a more generous definition of what a TB is.

    Fox and Champion do no thave TB = Missed Tackles, whereas Prozone does, so that's at least 1 difference in the definitions

    Updated to 276/7. My weak as cheap ctrs getting exposed this week. In previous weeks Crichton, Hess & CHN compensated for my ctr's poor scores by over performing themselves but not this week.

    What's the bet Feeney will score 40 today causing a mass trade in then never make double digits again?

    The Ultimate score is interesting. Goes some way to showing we (non-owners) are not being paranoid about how Ponga is being scored.

    He literally had one good run (which was overscored) then beat one man to get out of the in-goal (where fantasy counted three TBs). He didn't even get a missed tackle when Mannah ran over him to score.

    Updates, which were plus or minus one or two, came about 90 minutes after final whistle, and before the Souths/Manly updates, so pretty clear they didn't meaningfully watch the game again, just adjusted metres.

    And STILL no Norman TA for one of the season's clearest TAs. What the fuck is with that?

    @rhinoceroo

    Yeah what the F is up with this. First Milf now Norman. I guess I need to read a definition of a TA, but he completely set up Gutherson for the try so why no TA? Is it that guth had to change direction to beat a player before he went over? As opposed to a TA when Dummy half just passes it to a guy who does all the work by barging over 3 guys?

    It seems like the Norman one, in reality anyway, has way more influence on setting up a try than half of the try assists that get recorded in the stats.

    Its a little frustrating I have to say....

    But I accept that it could all come down to stats definitions which I don't know...

    Wait, so was that the first try where Norman broke the line and put Guth in? He didn't get a TA for that? Serious?

    They gave it to him in the live scoring and then took it away .... never to return

    Match report says .... The Eels made an ideal start to the match, with Corey Norman dummying to beat the Cowboys' right side defence before passing back inside to fullback Clint Gutherson who crossed in the corner.

    ....sounds like an assist to me

    I think TTurbo/Aubbs is prob year end optimal pairing with SMat serviceable if short on funds. Anyone I'm missing?

    I'll be heavily considering Aitken after round 12. Plays 15/18 and while he is an out and out centre he has solid base stats in tackles and tackle breaks. 12 tackles and nearly 4 tbs a game is outstanding for a centre

    The only thing that would make sense re Norman is if part of the definition of a TA is that a TA is not awarded if the scoring player changes direction once receiving the final pass. In reality it might not make sense in some situations but for the purposes of recording stats definitions along those lines would make sense to avoid subjectivity.

    @Feline

    I'd say you have to be more than 150 ahead end of tonight. SJ/Kaufusi/Tedesco can combine for 150 easily. 200 ahead you should be safe.

    Would I be better off trading elgey to CNK this week? Or waiting till post rep round to do it, a lot can happen in two weeks?

    Hi wolfking, it's Stew here. It is nice that you would like a fortnight to Stew.

    We could go hiking together, or maybe spend some time mustering-my great Uncle Lou has a property west of Nimbin. Except there is no cattle there. So we wouldn't actually be mustering. It is a shame you didn't say something earlier as you could have joined Stew for the Dixie Chicks concert.

    As a cheap cash out option, who have a chance of playing for their teams within the next 8 weeks, you currently have The Klok, Feeney and Jai Field. I don't see any other teams bring in anyone new in the halves.
    If you are adamant in cashing out Elgey, the question to ask is, is it worth paying $10-$20k in the price rises to wait for the next round for that information?

    I'll say no. Just wait a couple of weeks. Manu is in the squad this week so he could easily get his wing spot back if not this week then after the rep round (Hopefully for Ken M though).

    Plus they said 2-4 weeks for Kata so he too could be back after rep round in round 10.
