Ask the video ref to frame by frame the porno

Or as Sterlo would say "if you freeze it there"

You're not serious right? Where did i say evidence meant automatic guilt? Every single case that goes to court has some sort of evidence, every single one, if there is no evidence, there is no trial, the very fact that he is charged means the police have something on him that they feel they can successfully argue to a jury, whether that jury ends up agreeing with that argument is a different story that i'm not talking about.

surely, you can't actually think that a prosecutor can walk into a court and just go 'well we have absolutely no proof of the incident in questiontaking place, but she said he did it, i rest my case'
I can tell you from personal experience that yes you can be charges with a crime with absolutely no evidence. It happens

I had a response typed out. I'm glad I didn't bother posting it after seeing this. What an intelligent well reasoned response to an argument.

The other one where he calls her a rat bag and roughly pushed her head down is a bit more of a worry.
Nothing at all wrong with it if shes up for it.

The only thing wrong is filming it and send it around - which, if going off the Napa precedent he will be losing 10% of his pay.

what if may didn't share it around and its actually the girl that did ?

Napa knew of others having because he originally shared it to a private group but what if the only 2 people who had the video was may and the girl and the girls decided to post it after seeing he would lose 10% of his pay (say thing went south between the video and now)

do the NRL still treat may like the bad guy and fine him 10% when he would actually be treated as a victim in the courts with the revenge porn changes ?

not saying that's the case (its quite possible May is in the same boat as napa) but the NRL's blurb in the napa penalty tried to make it look black and white and it might not always be that way, Napa absolutely had some resposbility in how the video got out, its possible other players are 100% victims if this continues to happen

In 2007/2008 I use to work at an nrl club, and got on well with a few of the players. I was told this story about some of them gang banging this local girl... they filmed it all and at the start they got her to say "I consent to everything that is about to happen" with her licence out lol.
Her father was a copper and found out about it all but nothing ever came of it (nor should it). They were ahead of their time though lol

At the time I thought it was ridiculous and quite funny but its almost like the players HAVE to do that sort of thing these days to protect themselves if they are going to "party" like that.

its pretty clear, players are just gonna have to be smart enough to not put themselves in issues that may not look good even if they arn't doing anything wrong

been plenty of hard lessons learnt recently, the players are continuously getting educated. the list of people who defend them for "boys being boys" is only gonna get smaller. i know alot of them arn't that intelligent but they are gonna be risking alot doing anything that the media can spin against them

PS its not lost on me that the media shamed adam elliot for a week, the game punished him and the courts charged him for public nudity (which was a stretch)

yet we just had thousands of naked people walk the street naked and its a celebration the whole state should be proud of ?

    context, mate.

I don't agree with Elliott being vilified but those are two very different things you're comparing.
You may as well be comparing it with a mother breastfeeding in public.

Agreed. That also exposes the issue with the NRL's new black and white rules, there's no room to apply context to each situation.

    Context ?????

The only way to celebrate sexuality other then hetro is to get naked ?

Put it into context. Biologically there are only 2 sexes, the rest are a state of mind. Our legal system puts people in gaol for their state of mind.

Because it's an event where nudity is allowed and accepted? There's plenty of nude beaches in Australia but I can't go strolling down Bondi with my dick out.

You wouldn't be the first to be wandering around Bondi like that....

But you are clearly right in terms of context.

Having said that and bearing in mind context, I completely disagree with filth and consider the Elliott punishment grossly unfair.

The nudity in both instances could potentially offend a passer by but based on the specific events, would be considered acceptable IMO.

Elliot needed to save his nude wristy for a private party - or mardi gras.

From what I've seen you're more likely to see a bloke getting a nude wristy at a mad Monday than at Mardi Gras. Say's a lot about the mentality of most footballers

Still need to be careful as even with that statement if at any time she says no or stop everything after that point is sexual assault
