points beat cash - but up until what point?

i just cant see graham busting out 72 this week, so even with a respectable 50-odd he's still dropping a tonne of cash but on the hand your getting the points in a bye round which is kinda invaluable. whats general consensus around here?

That's what everyone else was saying before last week ala Graham/Kaufusi, then Graham got 30.  I'm happy to take the hit and wait, but was going to do two big upgrades next week, hooker and second row and Brown being out has fucked that, cause he'll leave me with Kaufui or Yates to play next week if he doesn't return.  Plus, his BE is 82!!

Getting Nu Brown for Norman lets me do round 13 trades of

    Whitehead > Lolo
    Musgrove > JDB

    Leaves me with

    Fifita, Vaughan, McGuire, Musgrove
Surgess, Gallen, Crichton, Lolo, JDB, ET

Think i can live with that, one or two of them going boom in a round and i dont have to worry about backs haha

Then i can load up on Storm players hehe

I certainly hope Burns doesn't end up on the bench in the final team lists. I've got Nu Brown sitting on the pine as my AE to make a full 17 because I've only got one FRF playing. If Burns is sent out there for like 5 minutes or something and gets 1 or 2 points then that fucks me out of at least say 20+ points from Nu Brown.

He was a dud cow that didn't work out so I've been forced to carry him. Now he could really come back to haunt me. I mean I don't think Madge is the type to be carrying an outside back on the bench like Bennett has but you never know with his weekly revolving team so I am getting worried.

I recall reading somewhere that Burns has played at centre a fair bit coming through the grades. Maybe he could slot into the starting side with Fui dropping back to the bench (although it does seem unlikely that would occur). As you suggested who knows what Madge is thinking.

You should never have voiced this out loud, Madge can only get erect if he's destroyed the hopes and dreams of a fantasy coach that week.

at least you got some use out of him, i spent the entire season telling anyone who listened that he was only the getting the benefit of opportunity though inury and it wouldn't last, then Faufusi started spending time on the bench and i neeed a quick-fix bye-friendly FRF and decided to bring him in last fucking week... i blame James Graham the pommy bastard, if he kept his head out of the way 2 weeks ago, he'd be more expensive, but i would've saved the trade i'll be making next week

Exactly what I did, exactly! So we both got 6 points out of him and the whole time felt like what we had done was wrong.

I laughed at the idea of suggestive vegemite pictures, i mean i know the internet is all seeing and all powerful.... yet surely something like that wouldn't have too many hits right? Wrong. Bring on P51

It's close....so close. Any genuine trade thoughts to bump it over the line? I have 12 (i think) players this week before trades, but probably looking to take that to 14, don't think i can go too much more than that without upsetting the balance of my team for future rounds. Probably going to captain Surgess so don't see much value in the loophole.

I'm keeping N. Brown. Thoughts on my new batch of trades:
Fifita out - J. Graham in
    Idris out - Fuimaono in
    CHN out - Mannering in

    Cheers boys.

My mind is saying either sell and never bring him back, or don't sell and keep him in all season.

    Weird.

I get this. I agree McGuire is of single trade standard. He's no smith or even Fifita.

My thinking was McGuire to Brown and never trading back. I think it comes down to who you move him out for. Assuming it's 45-50+ gun keeper than McGuire needn't be 2 trades.

As it turns out, like yourself - I think I'm just going to keep him for the season. Only really misses the origin rounds (decent byes at least for an origin player) and I'm more than happy to run him out on my final 17
