    Has gotten some great scores lately, makes a lot of TB.

    I am trading out Fifita and CHN to bring in S. Burgess and was thinking Tolman seeing as Brown is out but then I thought if I get Paulo, that would give me a whole heap of money in the bank for upgrading Elliot and Stone later.

    He's someone that could crash over for a try quite easily as well given his width - he seems like a player that doesn't play a lot of minutes so would need to score his points in big plays rather than minutes and racking up a score.

    Hmmm cheers honeysett, I had a look at his stats, his last 3 games included scores of 50, 46 and 54 from 60 minutes a game which I think is quite good.
    No attacking stats except for 1 LBA, the majority of points are metres gained, offloads, TBs and tackles.
    I think I might get him.

    I had zero stats to back up my argument - just seems like a 40 minute player.

    If he's got those scores with 0 attacking stats he becomes a solid mid ranger.

    Sitting on 5000th position, was really hoping to push into the top 2000 over the byes.

    I don't think its worth swapping Gtrain for JDB considering JDB will play byes 15 and 19 which are equally as important. You can't really touch the rest of your cheap 2rf since they still have plenty of cash to make. Best moves to make the most of this bye round is:
    Norman -> SJ/Arey
    Brown -> Graham/Tolman
    Ponga -> Holmes/Gordon/Latrell/Semi

    That'll give you plenty of cash to upgrade Niko/Brailey next round

    Seems to make heaps of metres.
    His last 4 games include 156, 185, 167 and 209. If he could start backing that up with a heap more tackles and his usual TBs and offloads he might just be a good buy.
    A try and a LBA or LB every now and then could push his score into the 60s or 70s

    Love it! Was going to death ride Walker, KNik and Frawley for another week then go KNik -> SJ, and hold onto Norman.

    Looking at his highest scoring game 54, 5 TB 4 offloads and 209 run meters, wouldn't that be his ceiling? not too many blokes who can average that

    A) If Brown comes back soon, and you hold him over byes, he will make back any lost money. You only lose the cash if you sell him. Depends how long he is out for. If he is going to miss most of the bye rounds anyway, then he's probably a sell anyway.

    B) with $442k in the bank, I'd bring Gallen in for Stone. Stone misses the next 2 bye rounds, not worth holding on to as an NPR for 2 months when you could be getting Gallen's points instead.
    Should still have enough cash left over to upgrade KNik next week.

    C) Why Tolman over James Graham? Do you think Tolman will outscore Graham by enough over the rest of the season to make the extra cash worth it.

    As per usual haha I've totally changed my mind & decided to sell Fifita as it allows me to bring in 1 of McInnes, Taumalolo or Munster in round 13. Fifita will play only 1 of the next 4 games so I'm taking a risk & will get him back in a later round.
    Fifita out - J. Graham in
    CHN out - Tualau in (via F. Kaufusi)-this is a cash grab & will play 12 & 18
    Idris out - C. Walker in (via Klokstad who is currently in my halves)

    This will allow me to go in round 13:
    Cook out - McInnes (will require 2 trades as I'm just short of doing it in 1 trade) or
    Lamb out - Munster in (will require just 1 trade) or
    F. Kaufusi out - Taumalolo (will require just 1 trade)

    I'm leaning towards bringing in Munster as they have the Knights in round 13. With McInnes up against the Tigers I don't expect him to have to chalk up the tackles. Taumalolo as always is tempting but my 2 frf already has JDB so he's not an urgent trade in.

    Those are some pretty good numbers for Paulo, didn't realise he was playing 60 mins on the regular. Its his tackle counts that put me off, too easy for him to have a low 30s score if he doesn't have the TBs and bulk run metres.

    He's a little bit the opposite of Elijah Taylor. Paulo gets all his points with the ball in hand, ET gets all his points making tackles. If the game swings one way or the other, they can both miss out pretty heavily in their fantasy scoring.

    Personally I won't be trading him in.

    I like this as well.

    - Brown is a toss up, inclined to want to keep him if he comes back fit and playing the same as the first 10 rounds. That's an IF though !?

    - Gallen to Stone, yes i was tossing up that, made my $100k from Stone, move him on. I think you sold me.

    - Graham looks like he may be playing with an injury, he's a tough SOB but i think Tolman may steal some minutes off him.

    Anybody doing that?

    Pretty much always going to be that one really out of synch round that has to be written off to balance the rest. The only real way to combat it is to trade sideways/backwards for numbers.

    The repercussions of which, well each man or woman must face by him or herself, alone...

    I was running through a few possible final 17s for my team last night and I must say the best ones only had Smith at hooker. I have unintentionally geared my team towards it and there's a serious possibility it will come down to whether or not I go someone like Taumalolo or a second hooker.

    If there's a season to go this route I feel like it's this one. Risky but Smith hasn't let me down before. We'll see

    So Graham is still carrying an injury? This is concerning. I thought he was cleared of any injury and was good to go for this week (although he has a high BE). I might have to do some research and see what I can find as I'm really counting on Graham to play his usual 60 mins or so this week.

    I was just reading sc addicts & apparently J. Graham still has to pass a concussion test. Does anyone have the inside word as to whether this is true & if so how doubtful is he.

    Nerve injury in shoulder i read ..

    Regardless, he'll lose $50k in the next few games.

    With Nathan Brown out for the Eels, Beau Scott will start at lock. David Gower will likely come onto the bench, but don’t be surprised to see Will Smith feature

    What the hell would that mean?

    C) Why Tolman over James Graham? Do you think Tolman will outscore Graham by enough over the rest of the season to make the extra cash worth it.

    Not feeling it with Graham personally. If I could wait a couple of weeks for Graham to potentially be under 400k then I might grab him. But I need one of the Dogs bookends and Tolman normally shines at this time of the year. I might have Graham too in a couple of weeks, could realistically still pick him up for the same price after Round 15.
