I'm fearing that Vaughan earns a call up for game 2 somehow.

Daley would be completey going back on his word if he picked Vaughan this year.
Said specifically that guys have to be performing for a long period of time.

3 extra weeks surely won't change that.

That's helpful cheers, I didnt hear that comment.

Presumably that means IF Dailey makes changes (and you'd expect that would come before game 3 if he did) it would be for guys he knows? Merrin perhaps? JDB?

I would be shocked, SHOCKED!! If a coach went back on his word regarding team selections.

QLD Lose - Myles, Oniell out. Slater, Wallace in. Potentially Thurston good to go for game 2 as well? In saying that, QLD like to pick and stick..

NSW Lose - roll the dice? JDB is 18th man though isn't he, so he's probably the next forward in? I'd be surprised if NSW dropped anyone from their pack after 1 game though.

I think it would be hard to see mass changes for either side. They've picked the side for game 1 believing those players can do the job in the series. As long as you arent embarassed you would think both coaches would hope to turn it around with the same squad in game 2.

As it's been discussed, there's no way he will get picked after Daley's comments this year.  I too would be shocked.

Talking about Vaughn, I had a dream about him last night, but can't remember what the dream was about.  I think I need to get him in my team.

I kind of enjoy the disruption to Fantasy, it adds another element and it helps conservatives like me climb up the rankings as I wasn't bold enough to pick TB kings to start the year.

I hate the disruption to club football in general. The comp is a mess for two months, teams lose momentum, combinations chop and change, the quality of football generally drops during origin period. While my team is the Bronx, I'm someone who watches 8 games a week whenever I can, and just enjoy watching high quality footy, no matter who it is.

After all the debacle in regards to Billy, I don't see them calling him up for game 2. I think they have made a statement and will look weak as fuck if they call him up for game 2.

Not sure if there is a good team value per say, but mine is 9.47m with 309K ITB.

I think you are right and its probably just wishful thinking from me. I love Slater. I can also see why NSW fans would hate him. I'd love to see him play origin one more time.

current value is 9.51 with 80k in bank. Missed ponga and hess. The one trade (as others have mentioned) that hurt me most is picking Abbey over Ponga.

Thanks mate, yeah that's the way I see it too, thanks.

Would expect changes for game 3 though if one side is down 2 zip.

Kinda hope NSW win then to protect JDB Smile QLD then make one change bringing back JT assuming he's ready.

    But then there's injuries!

The only reason I think that was kev's stance was that he didn't want to throw Slater back in when he's only 8 games back or whatever, he kept saying it was a big ask of him and all that bullshit, so I don't think he can send an SOS to Billy if we lose when he would have only played 2 more extra club games. Pressure will be on from fans to pick him though if we lose.

    Speaking of my team. I'm not sure if I keep surging towards round 15 players. Currently my team looks like and lineup before trades;

    Smith Brailey
    Wallace Yates Kaufusi Fifita
Bodene Elliot Brown SMat Chricton Surgess
    SJ Frawley Niko Lamb
    Croker Cotric Kelly Fui
    RTS Slater Semi Suli Ponga

    309K INT

I kind of want to see Munster one more time at half but he is a potential trade in for Niko. Lolohea also could be a punt for Niko with byes as I have cover at the moment.

My forwards is where I struggle. I'm looking at round 15 but Brown and Kaufusi both play that week, but it really makes sense to upgrade them both now to Merrin/JDB/Vaughn/Tolo, so that's where I'm stuck. If Brown is out, I'll upgrade but is it worth holding Kaufusi or just hold him a couple more weeks for 15? Same with Brown, very tough.

Ponga is there too who I can turn into an easy forward if need be, but kind of wanted to turn him into Nofo in 15 if Ponga doesn't get another run.
