Current trades are:

JDB ---> Merrin
Norman ---> Cleary

If Teddy is out I might have to look at trades next week though I do have 3 other WFBs so might be worth holding him.

Bye planners really getting a leg up here. Not only do they likely not own many of these guys but they probably own the likes of Laybutt, Scott, MWZ to name a few that now look like getting starts...

Down side is that for many of those same people the captains loophole might not be a reality anymore, but to be honest I'd take the extra players any day!!

Wacko has become one of those guys who throws alot of random shit out there and eventually something will stick. I just read his stuff for entertainment purposes these days

This. Jake friend had to go and get an HIA to destroy what was looking like a masterstroke of trading. If C Smith is playing he's in my team, if not then i'll cop jake's cash leakage and hope he makes enough up in the following weeks.

Ted being out means I need to trade in someone for niko, looking at Dugan and Tturbo also mansour. Maybe james roberts.

I like turbo and roberts because it gives me flexibility in my centres so potentially I can run Edwards/RTS/Munster/Guth as fullbacks and Tturbo/roberts and Smat/Tyrell/Scott. Suli is my dpp pawn. If I had a player who was solely wfb it means i'll be playing roulette each week

Round 13 points to him not playing, and add to that how well the storm seem to be tracking, with and without him, that adds weight to him being rested again I would think.

The only thing which makes me think they may not rest him is that its 1st vs 2nd. If Melbourne win this week they are a big step closer to the Minor Premiership.

Its pretty much the first time Smith has ever missed a game following origin. Couple of times he has started from the bench. I would be wary about extrapolating based on 1 game

If Friend averages 60 for the next 3 rounds he'll maintain his price (give or take)

Average of 50 for a tad under $450k

If he averages 40 he'll be $410k which is as pessmistic as I'm willing to be (barring another HIA)

In R18 he gets to play without Pearce (against Souths), so I'd expect a decent score there.


On that note - why is Roosters v Souths scheduled for the week before origin. Are the NRL deliberately scheduling marquee games for when the most players will be unavailable to keep crowds down?

NRL physio's twitter has become a great place for info.

I didn't realise players who fail a HIA is not allowed to play again within 5 days. This rules out Chambers this weekend. CScott owners rejoice

Was he though? I know he almost always backs up (in the past), but he is getting older. You may be right, but everything I read suggested he was rested.
