2017 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 58

I'm tempted to run the old nudie-run comp later in the year, but I'm going away next weekend so would either start after that or I just won't do it because I don't have the time haha.

For those curious, the rules would be something like pick a six-side team like you do with a match-day team... of players you think will take the field but won't score tries.

ie:

HK: McCulloch
FRF: Lillyman
2RF: Fuimaono
HLF: DCE
CTR: Joe Wardle
WFB: Hopoate


Points would be something like 5 points for a WFB who doesn't score a try, 4 points for a CTR, 3 points for a hooker or half, 2 points for a prop and 1 point for anyone who starts off the bench. No captains. 0 points if your player doesn't take the field or doesn't play that week.

Person with the lowest score after x-rounds wins.

Sell one of Semi/Cotric for either Tedesco or Pearce and save the last trade for injury emergencies.

WTF do i do ?

Either burst all your trades out to get the best possible team you could get, or save those trades.

I would do something in between and upgrade G. Burgess for A. Woods. Then you could upgrade Scheck to Slater/Dugan if you want to burn the last trade.

On the flipside you could get Tedesco in for Radradra, Cotric, Tuivasa-Scheck. Keep the cash in hand and last trade to use down the line.

I don't see any way you could get a second decent Hooker without burning both trades on the one position essentially and that just isn't worth it.

I don't think im 100% sold on Tedesco. Definately not Pearce.

I wonder IF Surgess was out, would be such a bad thing for some of us.. his ownership in the top sides is through the roof but may test the depth of some teams in the top tier. obviously not everyone has a gun 18th man but some better than others.

Who goes for Teddy? 

SMat, Croker, ET or do I keep all three and save trades??

In between sounds good, currently ranked 713 and ideally would like to consolidate that but would would i play Woods over ? JDB, Crichton, JTrbo or Walker?

Jwallace to Fifita or RTS to Cleary? I'm leaning towards dropping RTS with him getting less space without SJ.

Hi all,

First year doing fantasy and i've been reading this forum all season so big thanks to everyone's input throughout and congrats to what seems like everyone who is doing better than me lol. I gave up on overall by origin 2 and have been building towards the best H2H team i can manage. Trades made this week were SJ > Cleary and Merrin > Tolo.

Proposed trade for next week is RTS > Pearce via Munster.
Leaving me with 2 trades and 15k (based on current prices) for the run home and decent DPP for cover.

Anyone see any better trade options or do these look solid?
I know my centres are a bit weak but i believe there's more points on offer going rts to pearce than say scott/croker to turbo. (RTS to tank without SJ)

Edit: Looks like Mansour is the keeper as Panthers have "Easier" games coming up, home too.

I thought he would drop out of the team after Woods returned from origin, but it looks like he's got a spot in the rotation... not scoring bad either

That trade looks good to me, you could even go DCE to give you some more cash itb for your last 2 trades.

Keep Wallace. He's at least good for 40 every week which is not really the case with RTS

What's wrong with that team mate, it's all round solid. Either of those trades you listed are solid.  Maybe even RTS to Teddy?  Fui to Turbo is also an option. I'd get Turbo or Teddy before upgrading Wallace at this stage though.
