Happens like that sometimes as well, with Merrin going down I was forced to play Finucane, sometimes your best scores come about when you have no other options haha

Looks like that single point has alluded me again...3 times have finished on 999 last 2 years haha...what did JDB finish on?

I just don't understand how you can get a top 17 together and still have squad depth like that.

Just from reading some posts lately. Teams that have an awesome 17 but then have great 18/19 men aswell. 

Not talking about any team in particular.

A lot of it is just luck and picking the right cash cows and picks over the bye periods, as well as not hastingly trading out players that are in form slump.  Like, I haven't got the greatest 17 but still have Kaufusi and Cotric from the start that have just hung around.  I picked up Semi when he was cheap over the byes and was my highest WFB scorer this week sitting on the bench.  Lolohea was another one I took a punt on and has exceeded expectations, and Slater took a punt on his second game and has become a keeper.

The buy low sell high saying fits well in this too.

Although the more depth you have, it can take a hit on your scores if you could in fact have a stronger 17.

Hmm yes this makes sense. I stayed away from those that had dropped (Semi, Merrin) because I assumed they would be a wasted trade. Just need to trade smarter next year.

That's not necessarliy the case. Luck has a lot to do with it. Semi for one has been good since he bottomed out and Merrin not so much. There's simply no way you can pick players that are going to bounce back at any given time.

Had my eliminator matchup with Username this round and with updates, looks like I've lost by 4 and I played Lolohea who missed 3 tackles (-6) in the one play when Gutherson scored.

I can just about guarantee they did one thing earlier in the season. Bought Ponga.

Idiots like me who bought Abbey have had to do it the hard way and still I clawed my way as high as 6th in overall. Fuck all depth to show for it in the end though.
