Friend, SJ, Smith, Surgess now Guth. Guess I needed more than 3 trades post byes. Extra annoying thing is that if both Friend and SJ hadn't gone down I'd have upgraded Guth already.

Dropped 3 points overnight just to rub it in further, finished on 830 for the round.

Smith and Surgess will be staying put by the looks of it, I can cover for them with 2 from Hayne, RTS and Fui in my 17 as reserves. With only one trade left I have to see how things pan out with the other two before I even think about bringing Teddy in.

By the way, does anyone know why Scott scored so low?

No real reason to trade Smith if he may only miss a week, lucky for those short on trades.

My 18th man RTS will get a run. Surgess may as well stay. Got four trades and I think its finally time to say see ya later to that gronk smat and say gday to Tommy T. James Roberts is very tempting too with the bronx having a good run home, he looked lightning on his feet on friday night. That said Ive already made a risky call on Ben Hunt..

Taupau has gone in the absolute bin since I traded him in. 30?? fuck.

    Storm website:
Smith - probably one week out, two at worst.
Slater - will be monitored, with no decision until later in the week.

Storm says he will be monitored this week, but fine just the concussion. Pretty confident he won't play, but I can hold him.

Gutherson ruptured ACL. It's a cruel and unfair sport. Guy plays his heart out every week and was in exceptional form :'(

860 for the round. Let down by captain smith, mcinnes, mcguire and to a lesser extent munster.

After review now looking at RTS to Teddy instead of my initial plan of pearce as that would leave me with 90k and 2 trades for the run in (pearce trade would leave me with about 17k and no wiggle room).

This is of course pending team lists and injury news on smith, slater, surgess, mcguire(?) not sure if he was injured or just trash.

I score 953 for the round. Managed to miss the Smith Captaincy carnage. Pretty happy about cracking the top 100 for the first time - 76. I've got five trades left. I'm going to move Taupau on - never really wanted him in the first place but his bye coverage was too good to pass up. I also want to get SMat out of the centres but apart from Turbo, there doesn't seem like anyone else is really dominating that position.

Shot mate well done. I agree re Taupau but Sione may be worth keeping as a back up unless you don't have T-Trbo which in that case sell Sione & get T-Trbo.

Dropped down to 242 this week.

Captain Smith wasn't good, and Scott and Leilua stinking up my centres didn't help.

But my team value just cracked $10mil, so that is soemthing to be grateful for.

2 trades left, with Surgess, Smith and Merrin hanging around.

Perhaps go Merrin to Barnett and sit on the last trade. Can't afford anyone better

Catching up on the weekend, was the Solioloa hit really as bad as people are making out ? Archer saying it was a send off, Storm crying to the NRL. Is it just because it's the grub Slater ? He was nearly horizontal when he got hit. It wasn't a shoulder charge, it wasn't terribly late and if he hadn't have slipped it would have been a good shot that would have gone unnoticed. Have they said what he's being charged with yet ?

Its 100% a beat up. Admittedly yes he nearly knocked slaters face into next week, but Slater fell into making it look worse.

Send off no. Sin bin 100%.

Regardless of falling into a tackle or not, you hit someone in the head, its a penalty, if its remotely late it should be a sin bin.

You see those tackles on players at least once a set. the only difference was slater fell into this one and took a very heavy hit. It seems now days you can hit a player as late as you want, as long as they don't get injured or stay down.

Thank you for your service to my fantasy team King Guth. When I first opened up fantasy for 2017, you were one of my first players picked. I thought you were an underpriced potential gun with your average not reflecting how you scored at 5/8.

I reaped the benefits early and even when you made the shift to fullback, all the 'experts' on NRL.com said you were an urgent sell. Nuts to that I said, like I'd ever be trading out the King. My great season would never have been without him. Long live the King.

It was on the late side of late. Look at the replay and see how far away Soliola was when the ball was passed. Then see how far away he still was when Felise caught the ball. THEN he starts to raise his arm to hit Slater. The fact that Slater slipped doesn't change the fact that Sia had every intent to hit him very late and it was a reckless act.

Maybe not an automatic send-off but he intent to hit him very late.

Unfortunately the ref couldn't call it a send-off and there's no way (looking back now) he's going to sin-bin someone for that even though he, by law, can do so - that's not the precedent that is set.

He hit the guy in the head through reckless use of a late shot.
I think it SHOULD be a sin-bin offence... but we don't do that. It was never going to be a send-off. I see that now.

If the same happened to a kicker, they would not have been sent off or sin-binned.

However, I think we SHOULD be using the bin for offences like that.
