You can pretty much put a line through the Broncos and rule them out to reach the Grand Final this year without Mccullough. Of the teams remaining only the Storm, Roosters and Sharks are genuine Premiership contenders. I think the Melbourne Storm will be there (I am also tipping them to win it) so just the Sharks and the Roosters remain. Hard to split them. Who does everyone else think will make the Grand Final alongside the Storm?

yeah mate, sadly we are gone. I agree with those three teams. Do not see a way any other club challenges. I think the Sharks have it in them to get there again over the roosters.

Broncos are training today with Niko and Milf in the halves and Hunt at hooker, appears we will be going that way from here on in.

All official Fanatics Leagues Finals (L1 through L8) should be starting next week.

As a Chooks fan I don't think it's looking good for us. We've actually been towelled up the two occasions we've faced current Top 4 sides. Smashed by the Sharks and the Broncos. The latter is on a slide but still. When we came up against the Storm, they were missing the Holy Trinity and just narrowly won although we had a player or two missing ourselves.

I think the upcoming game against the Storm is a season defining game. If they can win or keep it very close then we're genuine contenders. If not we're just pretenders who can't beat the best but are better than the rest.

It's pretty hard not to see Melbourne making it to the last game, they've been the best side all year and they're peaking nicely. But as for the team they face there? Sharks have had some poor games this year where they've managed to scrape out wins, while the Roosters have dropped a couple of games to top four sides.

It'll probably be one of those sides there on the day, but if a wildcard team managed to make the final and face Melbourne I wouldn't be too suprised.

Parra Premiers in 2017 is what I'm saying. Beer lol!

form right now is not all that important imo. as long as you can manage your way into a top 4 position, then form only matters once the finals hit, timing your run is everything. and you're still missing Friend and Gordon.

look at the Sharks last year. they drew in rnd 21 with the titans, lost in rnd 22 vs raiders, lost in rnd 23 vs dragons, and lost rnd 24 against the rabbits. they even lost rnd 26 to the Storm.

Cowboys in 2015.. lost rnd 22 to the sharks, lost rnd 23 to the rabbits, and lost rnd 25 to the storm. their last win in the regular season vs a top 8 side that year was in round 17 verse the dragons.

Top four is crucial, but aside from that, the finals are a different beast. though whoever manages to finish 4th is in trouble vs the storm at Aami in finals week 1

Speaking of the Broncos, Hunt trained today at hooker, with Niko and Milford in the halves. Oates trained, as well as Opacic. Pearson out.

Interesting reading guys. Im looking at the NZ odds who have Para to make top four at $3.75. I reckon, looking at their draw, and considering the Macca injury, they are a better chance than that. Gonna head down now and get a slice unless someone can convince me otherwise in the next 10 min lol!

By the way, its my first year so not sure how the fanatics leagues work.

Playoffs one round away? and then the winner from each div moves up one? and loser from each down? or is there more than one way to get promoted?

thats not a bad offering. all siting on 28, cows with a tough run, Bronx could struggle, and Eels have 4 out of 5 very winnable. the funny thing with the Eels though is they always seem to find ways to lose to teams they should beat easily.

Fanatics leagues are currently determined solely on overall league position in the Fanatics Overall league. You could win L1 this year, but if your overall league position is 3000 then you'll be back in the party leagues next year.

Macca to Cam and FBrown to nuffy with 2k and 0 trades to spare cheer

Final sack of potatoes for anyone keeping score:

    (C)am, McInnes
    Vaughan, Fifita, James
    JDB, Manners, Taumalolo, Taupau
    Cleary, Munster, DCE
    Cotric, Leulia
    Teddy, RTS, Edwards

    18th man: Hayne.

Leota, Tatola, Fai, Cleeland, Fine, Drew & Fogarty to round it out.

Was tempted to cashout to Lewis Brown or some other 19th man type at hlf/wfb/ctr, but eh, maybe Cleeland gets a run and kills it with Dogs being so shit.

Ranked an abysmal 6800th.. just climbing the bodies of those that have given up now it seems.

That's a solid 17 mate. I think Raiders might put in from here on out. BJ looked more involved and interested and I think that win might keep them rolling.

    My team at the moment;

    Smith McInnes
    Vaughn Fifita Taupau Yates
Crichton Brown JDB Tolo Surgess Fui
    Munster Cleary Lolohea Laybutt
    Turbo Cotric Croker Isaako
    Slater Edwards Walker Semi Dufty

    3 trades and 23K. Ranked 717.

Unfortunately, I can't see any luxury trades without using having to use two, which is not needed. Was looking for a POD and was hoping to see more from Nofo yesterday, but Surgess to Papa is tempting.

Cheers mate. Can't understand how the Raiders have floundered so badly.. if anything their squad looks better than last year with Cotric instead of Lee.. Lost Vaughan though I suppose.

Gotta say I'm jealous of your Crichton, Brown.. Sam if he's fit.. I recommended Lolohea to a few people and didn't get him myself.. bloke looked fitter yesterday too I thought.
