With the recent injury tally i'd be concerned about having a dud second hooker.
Pearce if this isn't an issue and the DPP you're moving up is reasonable cover.
McInnes if you don't.
Yeah I'm in the same boat with Cam and Macca combo and 2 trades left; but will throw in a 3rd option here:
3. Sit tight for this week with an outside back as 4th reserve (i.e. Scott, Walker) and see if Jake Friend becomes a viable alternative to McInnes.
Presently leaning towards this option myself.

If you can still field a strong 17 this week, I'd really lean towards getting Friend next week instead of settling on McInnes this week, if I had Macca.
Take Friends last 8 scores, 56, 56, 82, 70, 0, 67, 56, 73 = 460
Compare that to McInnes' last 8 scores, 59, 70, 46, 39, 49, 71, 34, 59 = 427
Friend has still outscored him with that 0 in there. If Friend comes back next week though McInnes will get up this week, it just depends how your backup option this week would score in relation if you held off.

Thanks mate.
McInnes should be ashamed of himself being outscored in their last 8 games by a bloke that got knocked the fuck out on his way to scoring a zero during one of these games.
I can field a 17 this week.....wouldn't go as far as saying a 'strong' 17.......but a 17 nonetheless!

Is it worth taking a punt on Surgess > NBrown??
Surgess injury worries and low scoring lately.
Brown going big and has a good run in for to the finals.
Sure why not if you're willing to run with 1 trade for 4 weeks. Don't say you didn't bring it on yourself though if somebody gets injured in your team and you burn your last trade the very next week.

No one this week. Merrin to Teddy last week was my final trade.

Just read this on the Storm website;
Cameron Munster will miss the Cowboys clash after suffering a low grade high ankle sprain in Sunday’s win against Manly.
It is expected Munster will only miss this week’s match and be available for selection to play the Roosters at AAMI Park on Saturday 12 August.

Friend could play this weekend.
Surgess to play. Reynolds and Crichton confirmed to play also.

I mean you got to give credit and respect to Sam in some respects. Souths season is done, he's their highest paid player and could easily just kick his feet up and rest but instead he's choosing to play on.

Played Sam over Croker/Cotric last week. Not sure if I want to do that again. He was in line for a big score though, so you kind of have to back him since he's getting back out there.

He won't get an ounce of credit or respect whilst he keeps rolling out sub-50 scores for my fantasy team.

Or you could berate Souths and their horrible injury management policies.
They may have cost GI the season in round 1.
They have Crichton playing on a fractured foot.
They have Sam rushing recovery and seems to be re-entering the field without 100% rehab done.
And yet the league bang on about player welfare. Right.

The decision for Crichton to play on is purely his own.ryno_ wrote:

Under no circumstance should it ever be the players decision
