2018 NRL Draw Empty Re: 2018 NRL Draw

Gladstone getting a regional game, especially before Rockhampton gets one, is so very odd. I didn't think Marley Brown had the facilities in place to host an NRL game, but then i haven't seen the inside of that place in years, so maybe they've spruced it up.

By round 5, Tigers will have already played the Storm twice. Hopefully they have a premiership hangover and a slow start to the year.

Also Play Parra in rounds 4 and 8. Why does this sort of thing happen very year, how hard is it to space games apart.

    Speaking of Parra in regards to these situations - they have Panthers 1 & 5, Sea-Eagles 2 & 7, Tigers 4 & 8, Sharks 3 & 9, so they play 5 teams in the opening 9 rounds

Probably still better than Brookvale Oval, where it's being moved from.

Might have to change the Rooster's finishing position in the table predictor thread:

    Thoughts as a Broncos fan:
    1. Finally get some Sunday and Saturday home games which is nice. Sunday night vs the Titans doesn't really seem like the arvo game all the fans have been hoping for.
    2. 8 Thursday games (4 home and 4 away, including 4 in a a row between rounds 20 & 23) still seems far too much.
    3. The games starting at 5PM QLD time on a Friday night in the early part of the season should be ratings winners up here.
    4. Same with the game played at 4pm on NSW Queens Birthday, which is actually a normal workday in QLD.
    5. For about the 20th year in a row we manage to play the Warriors over the origin period.
    6. Pretty good start to the season, but hard post origin period. We'll want to start the season well.
    7. Our round 26 game is on a Sunday, so perhaps we'll avoid a FNF week 1 game for a change.
    8. Only 7 x 7 day turnarounds this year. I think that's pretty consistent with the last few years, but just pointing out that it's less than the 20 odd that people think we have. None are Friday - Friday.

other than the dates of the annual trips down i make for certain games, that was the next thing i looked for and they didn't dissapoint Laughing at least we don't have to make the trip over to NZ this time, so i guess thats an improvement?

Just realised how shit the Bye draw is but especially for the Tigers.

With the origin bye round between round 15/16, it means teams either get a bye play 2 games then have another bye or have a bye play 1 game then have another bye. We pay 1 game in 4 weeks. 17/6 - 1/7 - 15/7. If your struck with injuries it could be a good thing, but it's almost like playing 2 separate seasons, can't be good for continuity. Ironically in our first season we play Melbourne & Eels twice and in our 2nd season we play dragons and souffs twice.

That first season is shot to shit. Couldn't even keep Newcastle as a proper home game

On a more positive note - Tigers have 18 games in Sydney and only 3 outside of NSW (2 NZ, 1 Melb)

Pisses me off that the Tigers have decided that 3 home grounds isn't enough, so are deciding to play home games at 5 different venues this year. Luckily we get 3 away games at ANZ to make season tickets a bit more enticing. otherwise for someone that foregoes 1 of Leichhardt/Campbelltown its a pretty poor deal

Knights have heaps of 6pm games on friday night. Fucking awesome, means I wont get to watch most of newcastle's games this season.

    Good work NRL.

Yeah, pretty wretched start for the mighty Tigers. In saying that, we have an extremely good looking run home. So here's to us missing the finals by either 2 points or by for and against in the last game of the year for like the 7th time in 11 years or something.

Kudos to the NRL for actually getting the draw out when they said they would for once, instead of delaying 6 times.

Magpies fans cause they're too tight to buy tickets or travel. That's why we rate so high and get so many FTA games.
