Agree mate, just talking fantasy. With only two season averages of 52 and 41, just trying to figure out which one is likely for 2018!

Go in between mate his average minus his position moves was 46 last year, 52 the year prior! Definite value there, potential under priced gun i he goes to 2016 scoring

If Mariner starts round 1, I think he's definitely worth having too, he's a gun.

Been reading the kennel forum and a lot of them think edge will be RFM or Rhyse Martin (helpful that he kicks goals and Mbye is shit at it and Holland not in their 17) and Elliott at Lock. Forum speculation is always all over the place and wishful thinking but if you think any of those names are worthy of a review then great but the whole point is to generate discussion, so.... discuss!

Watching Elliot last year I think they would be mad to move him to lock. Kid has future rep player written all over him. Runs an outstanding outside in line on the edge and that would be wasted in the middle. Gets a lot of those "missed tackles" where he leads the line of defense and iniates contact, drives the attacker backwards then drops off while someone else cleans up. Great for the team but bad for fantasy. Can make some poor decisions defensively at times but to be expected from a young player.

Every time he switched clubs I see that he headlines the clickbait sites "biggest signings for your club"

I saw it for the eels he did fuck all I saw it for the warriors he did even less. I really can't see the love affair for him. Even when he was at Manly I always thought that DCE was the superior player I just don't get it.

Foran has to be one of the most over rated footy players going around. He is average & injury prone who is slow.
Further on the Bulldogs pack discussion the Bulldog forum seem to think this will be the starting pack:
    Woods, Lichaa, Klemmer
    Jackson, RFM
    Elliot

Tolman on bench. Apparently Klemmer wants to move back to the front row. I can't see Martin being in the 17. The only reason he gets mentioned so much on the Bulldogs forum is because he's a forum favourite.
If this is the starting pack I will have both RFM & Elliot in my team. RFM will be an out & out gun playing 80 minutes (another great player the Warriors let go) & Elliot has great potential with a massive work rate & I can see him making 40 odd tackles at lock.

Cooper Cronk (plenty of attacking stats on offer at the Roosters, no reason he doesn't replicate/better Pearce's scoring, plus points for forced drop-outs and no SOO)

Elliott Whitehead (about five points underpriced from 2017 2RF average, and ten points under 2016 average, due to a couple of games in centres last year

There's talk on the Raiders forum that the back row will be:
    Tapine, Papalii
    Whitehead

Whitehead at lock could be a great pick.

Would need to be playing 80 if he plays lock to be fantasy relevant I reckon, will struggle to go over 40 avg if he gets the 50-65 mins most locks get

I don’t know what his ticker is like but if he could get 80 in the middle that would be incredible.

Now if Tapine starts he is some one that I want!

I think he can manage 80 in the middle, whether he gets it is another question! Tapine won’t I’m sure of that but he should be starting on the edge and Soliola should spell him, come on in the middle and shift Whitehead wide, that would be nice

That's disappointing for Broncos fans, he's one of their only real shining lights IMO and has a lot of potential.

Agree. An 80 minute Tapine would be gold.

Further digging on Whitehead. Only the first two games at centre. No games in the halves, played two at 5/8 the year before. At the end of the season played three games at lock and one from the bench.

    Price: $604,000 priced at 41.2
    2017 avg: 41.3
    2016 avg: 52
2017 avg minus the two games at centre: 44.2
Avg at lock (3 games): 39.7
Avg at lock 80 min (2 games): 53

From memory, whitehead played every minute of 2016 bar 2mins. Id say he is capable of doing 80mins in the middle. My fear is they do a reverse Hodgson. Drop the hooker around the 60min mark, and whitehead plays out the game as hooker. He has filled in at 5/8 and Ctr so it wouldn't be a shock.

Tapine as a starter would be good. I reckon his maturity has improved a lot over the last 12mths and will become a POD gun this year if he stays fit.

As a raiders fan, id love to see Leilua sold off, whigton to ctr Cotric/Abbey to fill fullback/wing role.

My call is if Whitehead plays in the middle, Havili will be the starting hooker. Based on the fact Havilli is more attacking but weaker in defence. The polar opposite to Garvey.

If GI plays fullback that might be good for Hymel Hunt
