Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 4
Looks like I'm back in time for a party
Thanks to Moose and Random for setting up the Fantasy and VSDT Leagues Registration threads. I'll just be running the Cash Comp and Fantasy L2 or L3 this year. I am normally not so busy at this time of the year. Unfortunately at the moment I am, and also will be overseas for the week before 1st Lockout and may or may not have reliable internet.
I see no-one has been added to the BANNED POSTER'S list so that's always a good sign that you rapscallions have been behaving

That back line would give me the cold sweats every week. You have some balls pal. Especially with only Kennar as back up.
It's just my opinion but I'm really not a fan of going that light in the backs with the poor selection of players back therw

You understand that you have RFM, Evans and Garvey/Havili on you 18-21 NPR, when all three will likely outscore Hiku and Opacic. It doesn't have to be like this. No sense in having all those points outside your 17. I recommend upgrading your CTR/WFB and getting rid some of the mid rangers.

Yeah that's fair enough. Any suggestions as to who to downgrade and who to bring in? Will probably dump Hayne for Gray if he is named

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 4
I think I asked this last week, but did we come up with a consensus on the ideal bench makeup in regards positions for this year?
Is DPP more important or less important? Is the early multiple bench hookers theory still the way to go? I'll catch up on the last couple of threads tonight and tomorrow.

DPP is far more important.
Ideally at this stage you want at least 1 person covering for each position in your 14-21. Then most are loaded with HOKs at this stage.
The other idea is to have at least two, to cover yourself if your starting team are duds.

Cheers Random, so if I'm reading that right, a combo of DPP all positions and then Hookers?

Croker and Katoa (when added to fantasy) in for RFM and Evans.
This gives you HLF and WFB cover.
Then upgrade Opacic for a gun CTR or WFB (move Hayne to CTR) as he won’t get alot of game time.

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 4
Hey, couple questions
GI and JReynolds
Or Aitken and Watson
Also does anyone think Jamayne Isaako, Sione Katoa or Richie Kennar will lock down a wing spot this year and if so is it risky starting them with Ponga and Nofoaluma.
Thanks in advance

I would avoid GI for now as he is racing the clock to be fit for R1.Nofzilla wrote:Hey, couple questions

Aitken is a gun, and Watson has some value there.
Most people have a cheap 3rd WFB but the million dollar question is who isn’t going to be a dud.
There could be a handful of basement price wingers come TLT.

Starting Isaako/Katoa/Kennar is a risk. But if the money saved allows good upgrades elsewhere then it may be a risk worth taking
