    Pre Season Preview

    Teams:

    Wrinkly Skin (B/L)

    Wallace
    Vaughan Bromwich
    Trbojevic Papalli Kafusi
    DCE Widdop
    Scott Lafai
    Rapana Johnston Vunivalu

    Granville T Sims Keary Hopoate

A well balanced side with strike power all across the park. Hooker is the obvious weakness with Wallace no guarantee of playing 80 this season. A team that has minimal work horses but with the attacking options at hand a round high score is always a chance. Could be an inconsistent side if the attacking stats go missing each week, however will have enough wins to comfortably make the finals.

    Prediction: 3rd

    Moose (Moose)

    Koroisau
    Fifita Woods
    JDB Frizell Gillett
    Pearce Cartwright
    Matterson Hurrell
    Nofo Slater RTS

    King Taukeiaho Gutherson Addo-Carr

Back to back champions, who can stop the Moose ? A very impressive forward pack that will rack up the points for fun. Question marks over Cartwright, Matterson & Slater but if they fire this side will be hard to beat. A slow start to the season may be on offer with a few players adjusting to their new teams however Moose has proven he can get it done in the past and with this side deserves to start the season as favourite.

    Prediction: 1st

    Cows With Guns (Milchcow)

    Licha
    McGuire Twal
    Taumalolo Taylor Merrin
    Hunt Nikorima
    Aubusson Takirangi
    Turbo Gagai Hayne

    RCG Burnett Guerra Moses

A side that has a lot of potential but is hard to get a gauge on in the pre season. The centre pairing could easily be the strongest in the league but could also be the weakest depending on where they line up for their respective teams. A team I am not prepared to right off but with minor depth in the backs not sure this side can play finals.

    Prediction: 7th

    Kali Kookaburras (Random)

    Smith
    Taupau Matulino
    Burgess Lowe Klemmer
    Morgan Townsend
    Mitchell Chambers
    Walker Lolohea Dufty

    Peates JWH RFM Croker

Any team with Cam Smith can not be discounted. A side that may have been wooden spoon favourites last year however a lot of players have shown improvement or will play a different role this season. Easily the strongest bench in the league which will come in handy at origin time. A strong chance to play finals.

    Prediction: 4th

    Yippee TryYay M'fer (Ryno_)

    Buhrer
    Tolman James
    Mannering Proctor Thompson
    Cleary Johnson
    Moga Croker
    Roberts Dugan Moylan

    Luke McLean Jackson Fuimanono

An ageing forward pack that may not be as fantasy relevant as they were in the past, hooker is also a major issue. They do however boast the strongest halves pairing in the league and with plenty of strike out wide this side will win its fair share of games throughout the season. An injury prone side that will be held together with glue at the best of times but if they can keep the starting 13 on the field they may push for a finals spot.

    Prediction: 6th

    Clack Blocks (Clack Blocks)

    McCullough
    Finucane Tapine
    Cordner Graham Harris
    Milford Cronk
    Aitken Nightingale
    Munster Tedesco Edwards

    Griffin Alvaro Cooper Jennings

An impressive looking side all across the field with perhaps the exception of the front row. The back 3 will win games on their own this season and although they may be inconsistent from weak to weak hard to see them not winning enough games to play finals.

    Prediction: 2nd

    Quicksand (Quicksand)

    McInnes
    Liu Lodge
    Gallen Murray Whitehead
    Reynolds Thurston
    Leilua McQueen
    Gordon Holmes Mbye

    Cook Nicholls Austin SKD

Narrowly avoiding relegation last season Quicksand will be looking to move up the table this season. There is a lot of potential with this team but way too many question marks over a number of players form, injury status and role for their side to be playing finals.

    Prediction: 8th

    Great Oden Ravens (Welshy)

    Friend
    Graham Wallace
    Crichton Fitzgibbon Brown
    Norman Croft
    Cotric Inglis
    Mansour Ponga Watson

    Eisenhuth NAS Marsters Oates

Our Welsh counterpart will be looking to earn his league 1 spot and mix it with the big boys. Very strong looking forward pack despite a few question marks over a couple of players. No real weaknesses across the park however their is just too much unknown for me to place them as contenders at this stage. My dark horse of the competition.

    Prediction: 5th

Everyone from my squad is available for trade. Will be sending out some trade offers later (when I figure out how to do so on this platform).

Who do you want Peates for Random. Would need to be a double trade with Wallace or Granville going back the other way.

Chucked out a deal B/L. I am cool with either Granville or Wallace.

From your squad the guys I am interested in are J. Trbojevic, P. Vaughan, J. Rapana, D. Cherry-Evans and J. Bromwich.

I think what I sent through is probably the easiest deal to work with, and Peats is the best player in the trade.

Out of interest, what is everyone's projected round 1 score? I have 583 and given my 13 have pretty predictable averages (no one really has a different role this year than last year) I'm pretty confident of hitting that.

619 but it seems to be relying on James Roberts and Moga getting a hattrick each.

I'm projected to get 476 but if I can't smash 500 this will be a very long year !!

I think its a pretty fair trade.

It could turn out to be a good trade or a bad trade for either of us.

    I have accepted.

Much better then the offers I usually get sent from Moose & Ryno

I was only looking to strengthen the hooker position. I am happy with the rest of my team so will listen to offers but not actively sourcing other players.

Eh? The only trade Ive ever sent you was for a FRF who you wanted me to take unders for because he was on my bench (but would have walked into your starting side) - not starting doesnt make him less valuable.
