    Think I'm getting somewhere hopefully

    Smith
    AFB, Lodge
    Merrin, SST, Cartwright
    JT, Croft
    Mitchell, Kennar
    Teddy, Ponga, Dufty

    Cook, Rochow, RFM, Havili

    Kikau, Katoa, Croker, Nicholl

Really want J Turbo but can't make it work.

Didn't want to spend much at centre but can't be bothered with the nuffy musical chairs so at least one should be set and forget.

Starting to firm up, but the one guy I can't get in is Croft.

    Smith (c)
    JBrom, Lodge
    Merrin, Arrow, Tohu
    Knik, Carty
    BJ, Isaako
    Teddy, Ponga, Katoa

    RFM, Cook, NAS, Griffin
    Croker, Nicholls, Havilli, Kennar

May end up dumping JBrom, and slide Arrow (pending dpp) and Carty up to get in Croft.

So can I please have thoughts on JBrom vs Croft?
    cheers

    I'd take Croft over JBrom.
HOWEVER, while I understand the forum love for Croft - from his 5 matches and WCC - and he won't lose value and will likely gain it, I don't understand why everyone is picking Cronk MkII, in Cronk's old team, in Cronk's position, with a less developed version of Cronk's skillset, when ACTUAL CRONK is available for 30k more, with the easiest draw in the league, playing Round 13, without CS9 eating kick metres, and where last year's IRL inferior halfback averaged 56.

I'd get Croft in if I could, but I'd get Cronk first.

Held off building my team before team lists, almost put the 1st go together and I've only got 5 raiders. I think that's a fair effort. Embarassed

In former fantasy gun news, how about this for form? "Taser busts" must count for at least ten points each. https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/scott-moore-taser-pursuit-leigh-14375618

Anyone concerned about Arrow coming back from injury?

I don't see why people would talk about jumping off Merrin also. The bench hasn't got a lot of big minute players anyway. Along with the forwards, Kikau would be the one getting more of a spell I'd say.

Centre is killing me. Flip flopping between Hayne and Kennar with noone in between giving great confidence. At the moment I have Justin O'Neill as his scores should increase back to regular levels with Thurston back after a down year. Probably my first upgrade target will be a gun centre

With the mid range potential in the forwards, I think I'll bite the bullet and run MItchell and BJ. Hiku is another option to fill one of the spaces too if I want the money elsewhere.

    Old article but;

    http://www.canberratimes.com.au/rugby-league/canberra-raiders/elliott-whitehead-locked-in-for-canberra-raiders-trial-against-canterbury-bulldogs-20180214-h0w2qx.html

"I'll be happy to do 80 [minutes] if that's what he wants, but there'll be a few other boys that'll be itching to get a few minutes under their belt as well," Whitehead said.

"I'll be happy with 40 minutes, but if I have to play longer then I will.

"If I end up playing lock this week, which is probably more likely than not, if I play there then I'll just do my job and hopefully I'll do a good job and not let the boys down."

Happy with 40, oh no no no no Elliot.  Surely he'd be at least 60 minutes? Actually looking at the bench may be a concern, both Bateman and Soli play lock.

This is probably the team I am going to stick with, let me know if I've made any mistakes.

    Cartwright, Cronk
    Leilua, Hiku
    Tom Turbo, Ponga, Katoa

    INT:
    Havili, Cook, RFM, Rochow

James Gavet averaged 28 for his first 8 games last year, and 47 for the last 5.

Minutes remained the same but he started making an 5 more tackles (whilst missing less) and an extra 3 tackle breaks a game, with a small increase in run metres too.

1 try in each group of games. Did he suddenly become a fantasy machine or was it just a fluke run of form?

So, i know I'm in the vast minority.... and i guess there isn't a REAL reason to do it. But, I've got a team without Lodge annnnnnnnnnd I don't hate it.
Getting lodge could let me get a much stronger WFB... but eh. Bonus points because i like being a snowflake AND i have so many raiders.

    Smith
    JBrom, Matulino
    Arrow, Merrin, Whitehead
    Cartwright, Croft
    Croker, Kennar
    Rapa, Ponga, NFI

    Williams, Cook, Havili, Fualolo
    Croker, Nicholls, Leilua, Papalii

With 390K to fill the last "NFI" slot (or obviously more if i rejig it)

Both play prop more likely in that lineup though.

He was just at a shit team that made him look better.

Seriously though, I remember him coming into some good form, but I couldn't trust him or the Warriors at this point.
