No that just gets you VC score instead. Katoa isnt a good loophole, plays the first game and isn't a dual. I have traded him out for Greg L at Parramatta, to use as my loophole each week!
Dual player with late games each of the first 9 weeks, that should play round 13, and score well when he does play. Going to have some fun with it!
Can't say I agree with it but good luck. Will be interesting to see how it pans out to be honest.
Without injuries I don't think Greg L is a definite for round 13, even if Hayne and Jennings are picked for origin (Jennings won't be), its reasonably likely that Eels will line up 1 Gutho 2 French 3 Taka 4 Auva'a 5 Hoffman

Even if you win overall it'll still be your worst trade.
How much cash do you need to generate to get to your best team? How many trades will that take?how many trades will you need for the byes? What price rises do you need from your cows to make that cash and how many cows do you need to milk?
If you can't answer all those plus some more that I'll have missed you haven't thought this through enough.
Not harming me though so I'll sit back and watch the carnage
I have all the key cheapies (currently sitting 31st overall), so not worried about cash generation. Trying to use this strategy to gain extra points each week. My target is to average 15 extra points per week that I wouldn't have got without the loophole. Will see how it goes, master-stroke or crash and burn, going to have fun trying either way!

I think Kahu would go to the back and Opacic would go to centre.
Your probably right Wolfie, I am clutching at straws to validate my preference. Good luck with Murray this
round as I am waiting in the wings itching to move on SST if Murray performs and SST is meh.

I have also done my bye planning already. going to play 16 in round 13 and 17 in round 17. Most won't get close to that.

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 14
Whelp, gave up trying to be clever, went with the herd this week.
Matulino -> Rochow, Katoa -> Thompson
Didn't want Thompson as I need someone in my starting 13 and whilst i recognize his Cash Cow potential i think he's going to score 20 odd this week and the following few, so wanted to find a trade off between cash cow and decent scores. Was thinking a Dufty/Fergo/Blake type thing might have worked but didn't have time to sift through the scores.
In the end i gave in, thinking if Thompson did get shifted to FB at some stage I'd kick myself not picking up a cheap FB (Wing i just don't see the value in starting him in my 13 as I've said) and the cash i have left over means i can make 1 or 2 changes next week that I've been eyeing off.

I like the thinking behind the other stuff you've mentioned, but this sounds like wishful thinking to me. Are you saying you've got those numbers after you've cashed in your cows to upgrades you want, or is that assuming you have no injuries and don't trade any of your cows out?mattnz wrote:I have also done my bye planning already. going to play 16 in round 13 and 17 in round 17.
