@rev, i wasn't having a go mate, I respect Gallen and his workrate and ethic and playing the game at this level at his age is amazing, his age is just starting to show a little compared to previous years IMO, no disrespect mate.

New Loophole

Keep Katoa in your starting 13

Bench contains

19. Thompson
20. Hiku
21. L Croker
(no other WFBs in 14-21)

If Hiku scores well, swap Thompson and Croker - get Hiku as AE for Katoa
If Hiku scores poorly, make no change and get Thompson as AE for Croker.


If you have a red dot that plays late in the round, you can do something like this

17. Phythian (or any red dot from later in the round)
18. Kikau
19. Havili

If Kikau goes well, make no change and get him as AE for Phythian
If Kikau sucks, then swap Phythian and Havili and get Havili's score instead.

Many loop possibilities, just need a red dot, and more than one player capable of subbing for them, and for people to play games in an order that makes it easy to swap players before they lockout.

Risks are
You might play it safe and keep Hiku's score of 30, only to see Thompson score 60 again
You might decide you don't like Hiku's 20, so play Thompson and have him score 6

Depending on who you would play without looping this might be no different to what you would have scored anyway.

Yeah I reckon I might have to start paying attention to which games are refereed by Badger. Likes a penalty which stifles everyone's scores (except maybe GK). Could be the tie-breaker between playing middle forward A vs middle forward B in your 17 that week.

So whats the loophole? I was sure it was closed. If you have a player in the 13 they can only be replaced by another player from that same position otherwise you get a 0. So why not just start that player if you have one?

edit: just saw Milchs post. Im not worried about it, how many guys have 5 wfb in their squad to do that. The red dot one one might be the only realistic one for the forwards where you have a bulk of them in reserves

My version of the loophole lets me see either 2 or 3 players play before deciding which to keep, or can go a 4th player if they all do badly
