So what would ur centres look like afterwards ?

Surely he has to keep his pace with Tui returns over MWZ?mulvy wrote:Is it too late to pick up Thompson?

If so then I think he still has some way to go, doubtful he remains in the FB role though and less opportunities on the wing

Should average at least 40 I expect.

On a different note, this is the news re Tapine/Whitehead atm "Joe Tapine (dislocated thumb) will not be available for Round 3, and is a week to week proposition after that." according to the raiders site. Would be nice to have him back by week 4, need a bit of spark (especially to replace BJ) and i quite liked Whitehead at lock. As for BJ, apparently should find out by tomorrow what his scan results are.
Sometimes you have to take the risk mate, I was always on this line of thinking but sometimes players have off years and lose a tonne of cash and become tough to replace laterFortitude wrote:The desire to trade is strong in this group.
You don’t trade previously good players after two bad games, to an unknown player who pulls out two good games. That’s just asking for misery.
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. Cool ya jimmy jets people it’s a long season.
Yeah it helps that Whitehead is just a natural talent so he finds away to get involved and make an impact regardless of where you put him.Welshy wrote:
Can't argue with Whitehead so far, don't always get lucky with a player moving positions and still bagging great points. The tries have obviously helped
I'm gutted about the injuries affecting his Lock role which looked so promising HT of R1, hopefully Tapine is back R4 and Whitehead finds himself in the 2RF for R3 with a proper CTR replacement for BJ

It won't help me much in any of my teams but from a purely fan POV i'd LOVE to see Cotric named at CTR to partner Rapa (seriously imagine being the WFB/CTR that has to cover those monsters) in BJ's absence. The only concern i'd have with it is that we lose his kick returns and that likely means whoever we put there is targeted with kicks (which means i guess we lose some of Rapa's kick returns too).
Ehh maybe, I think at the moment we have Wighton, Cotric and Rapa who are all strong returners of the ball, so teams don't have a reason to target any one of those players over another, so I think they place their kicks based on other reasons/thinking, I'm not so sure they are avoiding Rapa. However if you replace Cotric with a smaller body then to me it stands out as a target is all I'm saying.mattnz wrote:
They almost never kick to Rapanas wing anyway, why you see him appear on the left wing sometimes to actually get some ball
