No, everyone else is making money this week and really want to get him in. Everyone else should be set for a few weeks of price rises. Having Dough Boy feeding him seems to have knocked Crichton off his perch.

Really want to get RTS in this week, fits well with my side, which has the rest of that right side Warriors attack. Only other way to get him in for cost  would be to trade out another gun like Rapana.

I'm seeing it as trading out 2 underperformers to get 2 guns in and hopefully set me up for no trades required for 2-3 rounds while gaining cash each week.

I feel your trades are a bit sideways mate.

Rapa for RTS, no bloody way.

Any glaring holes? Inglis obviously has been shit but waiting for the the fullback change and more than happy to give JMK the shot as a starting half in the WFB position. Any area which need major improvement

Well well well, if it ain't my "former guns" sparing partner himself! Hahaha. Heya mate, always happy to have a look over things for you bloke, only fair considering the amount of help you bandy around the place on a regular basis!

I wouldn't say you have any glaring holes fella. Glad to see you stuck with pimple for a change instead of backflipping. Laughing Personally, I think your halves are very light. Depth there to cover them is also light. Of course, this is early days and you know well enough that knee jerk reactions in this game will get you nowhere.

Ballsy taking a risk on JMK in your starting side. I don't disapprove of it but it's a risk. Here's hoping for both your sake moreso than mine and Doggies fans more than both of us that he can be a shining light for em!

Inglis (as I've covered and you've already stated) is a hold for now. I'm not sure how long "for now" is but I have decided that for the foreseeable future I'll hang on to him. My patience is wearing thin tho and I'f I'm prepared to advocate dumping Jayne then I also have to be prepared to seriously look at offloading GI eventually. I can't have the bloke sitting there at his price and not performing with better suited, more solid centers on the scene. Watch this space I guess.

My other unknown is Fifita. This is trampling on your toes I know but that has to be hurting. He's already lost coin, currently priced at 780ish bucks for an average of 48 giving him a realistic price of 720... Do you hold? I can see why you would and couldn't mount a decent argument against it but sheesh... Tough.

Lastly, I've said the same about Havili heaps of times. He's going to be a very slow burn at this rate (even with a BE of -1). You have a heap of coin to play with... Not tempted to make an aggressive move and bump him?

Overall mate I think you're sitting pretty nicely, definitely nothing there that's gonna sink the ship before it gets off the shoreline. Just a few things to consider and keep an eye on.

I read an interesting comment on nrlsctalk on how Doueihi may have a negative affect on Crichton. The gist of it was that Doueihi hardly ever passes to his right & goes mainly to the left. Watching the game Crichton got hardly any ball & the right edge was starved of ball. I don't own Crichton but I do own Kennar & apart from the first half big points play from Kennar the rest of the game & especially in the second half I can't really remember the ball going to the right edge much at all. Mind you it's only a 1 game sample so it could of been just the way the game flowed.

Someone mentioned this the other day but the majority of our teams have Carty in the halves & with his move to lock he won't be playing 80 minutes but probably 55-60. Also he's not the best defender at the best of times & up against the monster Dragons pack he could miss a few tackles. I'm tempted to play L. Croker in my halves instead of Carty & putting Carty on the bench or even the emergencies. L. Croker would of gained great confidence from the Eels game & as they say in fantasy epl "form over fixtures."

That's a no from me as Leota could end up playing just as many minutes as Nicholls. I do agree with selling Nicholls though.

In a similar predicament to wolfking in that I'm trading Croft and Lichaa this week. Opinions on these would be great

Option A: Buy TPJ and Turbo and have a few dollars left
Option B: Buy Robinson and TPJ and have 457k left( this is the option I'm going with at the moment)
Option C: Buy Robinson and break the bank with any other player, most likely Cleary,SJ or DCE.

This is my team before trades with 116k in the bank
    Smith
    Fifita Lodge
    Murray Arrow RFM
    Croft Cartwright
    Mitchell Kennar
    Tedesco Ponga Thompson

    Cook
    Lichaa
    Griffin
    Rochow

    Kikau
    Isaako
    Doueihi
    Croker

    Help please!

Yeah, I'm with WL on this one... Wouldn't grab Leota but by all means offload Nicholls. It's also what I'm trying to work out how to do at the moment.

Hey mate, outta curiosity, who you gonna play alongside Carty if you dump Croft?

As for your three options, I like B for the cash grab although I feel like you don't really need another WFB at the current point in time. That being said, it does leave you with plenty of cash to make a move in the coming weeks if and when you need to. The other option I like is C as it gets you an early set n forget gun half. Seems that is the place that you are lacking in the most at the current point in time.

Alternatively, if you don't want to break the bank, look at a top mid tier half (Api, Mbye or even Matterson as a smokey) and use them as a stepping stone into a gun later down the track. The only way that I would do this is if I can bank on A) the player generating a bit of cash and B) at least and 10+ point bump in averages split.

When I talk about trading again next week, can someone please remind me that my plan was to save 5 trades the next 3 weeks.

Sitting on my hands and not doing anything doesn't come naturally.

I'm slightly tempted to max trade every week until they show us season trades remaining. I half expect that by the time it makes an appearance so many people will be pissed off that they might just open it up for all (and piss everyone else off)

But seriously, are we expected to keep track of our own trades manually all season.

First few weeks are best time for heavy trading though. Many good players are as cheap as they will be all season, so you want to grab them while you can.
