In most circumstances the following trade is a no brainer right? other option is no trade for another week. Can field a strong enough 17, will need to play Carty though.

    Merrin>Murray
    Carty>RFM

    Or
    Merrin>murray
    Croker>RFM

Cartys a wank mate, ditch him.

    Brief, but supportive ?

Do all of you remember Carty's 2016 season? If he can somehow get to half of that level again he is still value. I still have faith. It's dwindling, but guy can be a gun if he wants too.

I spend a lot of my time on UK TFF site (soccer to most of you) and the main difference I noticed starting here is that everything gets talked about on the one thread (well most things at least), and a fast-moving thread at that - it's easy to miss information and some days I have to just give up any hope of catching up - or, spend ages looking back at something I thought I read 2 days ago.

The loophole arrangements/details/arguments could easily be shifted to a separate thread, then we can all dip in and out of it as required (or not). The same could be said for some other subjects too I'm sure.

Its a hard one, the flow and openness of this thread is gr8, but many other threads get left swinging in the wind.. as for thread specific as a result of content in this main thread....i think it works for some topics but not all. Might start to look like a regime !

Yeah, I'll hold. I think he will either wind up at 6 or on an edge. In general, I can't see Elgey surviving the season in first grade. And is Will Mathews REALLY a better long term starting second rower than Carty? I don't think so.

We've tried moving things out into other threads before, but everyone just posts in here anyway.

Would need effort form all users too if we were to start splitting everything up (or getting mods to go crazy moving posts around to the 'correct' location)

Right one trade. Been banking a trade every week, hope it pays off at some point, cause I really wanna do more.

SST > Isaako and straight into starting team.

This week could be a distaster

He just does not look threatening at all. Has one pace and it is slow as, shy's away from contact, if he comes good, good on him, but I will not miss him in my team

my tv broke wrote:Lodge, Arrow, Brown, Merrin, Murray, Cook, RFM, Griffin, Rochow.. then Kikau in Emergencies. If kikau starts I kind of want to play him, but at who's expense???

Arrow (Lock), Brown, Merrin, Murray and Cook are all better consistent options that are likely to have a floor around or just slightly below the Kikau ceiling. Play all those guys first.

Leaves you with Lodge(30-40), Griffin (40) and Rochow (25-45) as the guys who I think Kikau has an advantage over if you believe he'll have a good game (Note Kikaus floor is really, really low and if its a bad game you'll regret not starting these consistent guys).

Lodge vs Titans - Think with the regular 50 minutes he will do well. Solid 30 point floor locked in. More likely to go around 40.
Griffin vs Dragons - Tackling machine and most consistent player here in terms of base being 40ish. Against a big dragons pack I expect his base to be down to 35 with their big runners likely to force an extra MT or two.
Rochow vs Eels - Most teams have had a field day here. Expect this to be one of his better games but even in Golden point against the Broncos who ran 1 out hit ups the whole match he only got 48. Reckon he won't need to tackle a lot and his attacking game isn't really exceptional (25-35).

So in order I'd play Kikau over Rochow first then Lodge and finally Griffin. Would play all the other guys over him regardless.

I started with Carty last year too. It was a painful first few weeks. Sad

good analyis, i tend to agree. I don't know if Kikau will get the same free roam against the Cows tonight as some prior matches. I could be wrong, but I expect the Cows to be "on song" tonight.

I can't find it but I'd be happy to post updates for L4.

    L4 is on 36,894 points.

    AVG = 2306 points/ team
    = 768.625 points/ team/ round

Best performer is "qazwsx" who is in 449th on 2389 points

Would be happy to update regularly if you are interested (maybe in a seperate thread)

News is that highly rated young hooker Wayde Egan could come into the Panthers 17 before kick off?

To add to confusion someone on FB saying they read post on SC forum( already sounds like cat's mother's neighbour's uncle etc) that Croker not dropped but failed concussion test midweek. Makes more sense than him being dropped and would much rather keep and sell Carty

Mentioned here last night that Wallace is carrying an injury and Luai will drop out. No real source on that. Guess we'll know soon enough anyway. Not sure how it affects anyone. A hooker on the bench may change rotations though (eg Merrin), but impossible to know how, given Griffins desire to do odd things.

Even more reason to play him where hes trying hard to make a play (offloads, TBs and potential LBs, LBA, TAs and meat pies). If its not 14-0 down before he gets on the field it just wouldnt be the 2018 panthers anymore
