This is true. Pods are uselesful when trying to make up bulk points. IF you're already in top 100, no huge risks need to be taken.

The story floats around every season and don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but didn't the winner from a couple of years ago double trade every week until Rd 11?

Used to be 26 rounds, now 25 and I think the byes aren't so hectic this year.

As long as you trade smart and don't get too unlucky with injuries, I wouldn't worry about double trading too much early on.

Need some help atm. I really want to JFH but can't afford to go Doueihi to him in one trade. Other trade options are Lodge, Griffin and Dufty (via Thompson).

Problem is, should I even bother trading Doueihi out? Because if I double trade, it only gives me $524k and nobody looks good around that price. Slightly tempted by Kennar to give me Centre cover... Maybe I should just not trade

Made my two trades this week when I initially was committed to none:

    Dufty > Katoa
    Lodge > JFH

Downgrade to Katoa will free up alot of cash (500k ITB) to upgrade JMK when he's peaked. It also gives me an opportunity to loop isaako or thompson.

Lodge isn't pumping out the points or minutes as much as i hoped. JFH is a risky one because of Griffin but can't deny his work ethics and his BE helps.

    Smith (c)
    Arrow Kikau
    Jurbo JFH RFM
    DCE SJ
    Mitchell Isaako
    Tedesco Ponga Thompson

    Cook Murray Griffin Lodge*
Nicholls* JMK Crichton (not the 9 fingered one) Gosiewski (maybe)

*Tossing a coin between Lodge and Nicholls in the 17 at the moment

Will be saying a sad farewell to Isaako next week - unless he gets some ball!

    Now, to do some work

Noddy speaking on behalf of Doui. Noddy said Alex Johnson is a winger and should play on the wing. Walker is a FB filling in at 5/8, Walker should play FB with Reyno and Doui in the halves.

Noddy said Rabbits had no spark in attack for 70 minutes. Doui comes on and they look dangerous

Have only saved 1 trade so far but I guess I'm working on the theory of bringing in keepers ASAP so hopefully I won't have to trade for a couple of weeks at least.

    Morning all.
I haven't seen a game or really looked at my team in two weeks so if one of you gents would be kind enough to give me a rough update it would be much appreciated.
Theres just way too much in these threads to go back over the lot.

I can't afford to hold both Brown and Murray I don't think. Time to rethink my trades

Any ideas from the bright/procrastinating minds out here?

Looking for a different point of view with my trades this week. Fairly set on

NAS -> JFH (cause I'm super original and NAS at 35-40 minutes isn't gonna cut it for me anymore)
Also Fualalo -> Holmes (Fualalo has peaked - not the best starting pick but has always been involved when on the field)

    Team is now

    Smith
    Arrow, Rochow
    RFM, Murray, JFH
    Maloney, LCroker
    Hiku, Isaako
    TTurbo, Tedesco, Ponga

    Macca, Cook, Griffin, Kikau

    Lodge, Kennar, Holmes, Nichols

Had 25k ITB pre trades which is now 172k and hopefully I can pick up a good half soon which I know is a huge weakness. I'm trying to free up some cash for SJ in a few weeks.

Gosiewski was tempting but wasn't impressed last week and will happily watch for another week. If hes great I'm happy to go him next week. Only others I'm looking at is Lamb as a consistent underpriced half due to some games of the bench. High BE this week though so I'll wait more on him.

Yeah that's 3 starters out for me so far. All seemed well until Brown injured his ankle at the death.

So I want to hold Brown, if Murray is out I want to hold him.. I am thinking of just chalking this week as a loss and stick to my two original trades.

    Whitehead -> J. Fisher-Harris
    Doueihi - > Gosiewski

    Means I most likely play 1 or 2 of J. Marshall-King, Gosiewski, L. Croker

I would. I have Murray but not Brown, but am still doing the first trade myself.

Seems halves are the trend in weak areas and I too will probably need a good couple of weeks to gather the funds for a SJ or DCE. Would you not wait and cashout for Katoa instead? I was hoping Holmes would drop a little more but seems not the case, but I guess you're getting a bargin based rep player when you look at it. I think the first trade is a lock.
