Well everyone is going to want to have a full field for round 13. So if he is in the best 17 for round 13, everyone will want him. At that point keeper status beyond round 13 is irrelevant. He is at his cheapest now, and i Want him 100% for round 13.

Does that make sense the way im explaining it?

I guess, but I would argue that a keeper beyond 13 vs one that's a top player for round 13 (but not for the season) should be taken into account. One requires a trade beyond 13 and one doesn't.

Also, while people may want a full team for 13, I personally don't think that's gonna be realistic, in fact I've posted a few times how I actually think a strategy like that will be detrimental to your season ranking. Just my opinion though.

Realistically I think I'll be aiming for 13-14 players each bye round. Probably won't get Matterson either, not because he doesn't seem like a good player to own, but because the price isn't right for me right now.

I'm not concerned with Tolo's high ownership at all, I'm pretty confident it's those casual teams sitting far down the rankings.

Pfft! We don’t need a halfback. We’re fine we have a centre and fullback in the halves

I too enjoy seeing all the trade options it gives me ideas for my own team also sometimes puts up players I didn’t even consider. Like someone suggested Bateman and personally I’ll see how he goes this week and look to get him in next. Could be a cut price gun

I had Smith locked in until about an hour ago. Switched to DCE now. Probably 100 more changes to come though....

I too like seeing the trade options/discussions etc, but when somebody asks what trades they should make, then accept those trades that they get advice for and are back posting different trade ideas two pages later, that's what grinds my gears.

They are the safe and most realistic options. If you have big nuts then Tolo at home v the Titans for me!!

Disc: have all three options to chose from and haven't made a call, but if I want to improve my ranking fast Tolo would be the risk reward option!

Cook for me because those big Raiders middle men will get tired early & Cook will carve them up.

FWIW, my trades for the week...

    TPJ - Rein

    ... That's it for now.

    Already own Surgess/Sua.

    Other possible trade outs are..

    Townsend
    Croker
    Inglis
    Manu

Townsend + Croker play R13 though...

The difference being once you get 3km out to see the cruise line has a monopoly unless you have a satellite set up on your laptop.

I have to say the forum has gone to a new level this year. As well as our original crew some of the new members have added great insight & in depth analysis. The discussions & stats analysis yesterday on Matterson, Gosiewski, Su'a, Rein & other relevant players was brilliant. Also a big shout out to the new members who post their teams & are adding to the conversation.

Here is my line of thinking...

If you are a gambling man, keep TPJ.

If you want a bit more consistency, keep Lodge.

I got rid of TPJ, his only "good" score came with a Try/LB/TB's. I picked him up from the start of the season though so it's only costing me 1 trade to get rid of him. I traded Lodge out for Su'a last week also.

Yeah I'm doing Doueihi to Rein atm. Like you mate I don't really want to trade out round 13 players so I'm on the fence on whether to trade out Griffin. I'm just hoping they'll bring Dan Saifiti into the reserves for Levi so Griffin plays big minutes.
