I briefly thought that too, but I think we missed our opportunity. His defence is excellent but some of his last play options were awful, but he was definitely trying out there. Don't see Pay dropping another half, but Foran is the marquee player here. The lack of opportunity MBye also close to the tryline was awful and you could tell by the end he had given up. Maybe MBye back to the halves with Foran perhaps, not sure.

There was a tackle save him and Matterson made holding a player up over the line.. Think it was in the first half
The way they give those out even if blatant I won't be holding my breath

Ive read some where they only give them if its a solo effort. (Dont ask me the Sauce lol)

If Matterson assisted then its unlikely to be scored.

It's given usually to the player that has the most involvement in holding the player up over the line from what I've seen. Unless your JMK then you get it anywhere on the fucking field.

JMK thrives in defensive games. Tonight he started making a few more runs but still is lacking quite a bit in attack. Although the bulldogs attack is so predictable. MBye won’t be slotting back into the halves unless there is an injury.

I think JMK will be on the chopping block pretty soon. Not really his fault but he'll be the one to be put back to ressies (or probably just to the bench).

Who comes in for him? Frawley? Frawley wasn’t that bad but obviously something went down. MBye has been fantastic at FB so won’t be moving from there. Is there someone else hanging around the club who can play in the halves?

The commentators were accurate when saying Mbye should be looking for offloads to run off. In todays game they had 17 offloads and 0 line breaks. Not looking for the ball in 2nd phase play, all just standing around waiting for someone else to do something and then not backing them to offload in a position where they can run off it.

Cleeland was seen as heir apparent to Frawley, but was injured when they dropped Frawley to reserve grade.

Interesting. Bulldogs attack is so predictable. No one running in support either. I don’t know if a change in the halves is the answer to poor support play.

Cleeland can play, here are his highlights, has the skills they need to inject in the halves https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJ6qWSVlIn0

Nice, will keep an eye out for him. Looks a step above JMK.

Totally agree. MBye was MIA when a lot of that play was going on. You could tell by the end he was just over it and completely frustrated with the attack.

Let's be honest, he wouldn't have done anything in that 10 minutes anyway.
