I'm bringing in fifita for macca get some more and 13 players will also go lodge to surgess tolo or fitzgibbon

Players I want to bring in before round 13:

Taumalolo
Fifita
Surgess
DCE (/ Matterson if he can average 50+) - probably wait until after round 12 for one of these

my current bye split is

first bye: 12 (6 keepers)
second  : 7   (2/3 keepers)
origin    : 2    

gonna be tough fielding more than 13 players in the second round if you run with too many first bye round keepers

Gonna be near impossible hey. That second round is going to be tough, cause when you look at the keepers that play the first, no way you're trading them out.

Even when you look at the second bye teams, there’s not many keepers in those teams anyways, and they most likely playing origin

What are the chances Dugan doesn't play Origin?

At fullback playing 80 minutes he averages around 48.

Currently priced at around 38.

+whatever round 13 nuffies like Croker I have on the bench

This leaves Arrow, Mbye and Smith in my NPRs, 1-2 of which will play origin.
My only proposed trades in this period would be:
Murray to Mannering; Thompson to Edwards; and bringing in SJ/Cleary to the halves

Could well mean that unless I trade my keepers, I might have 4-5 players for round 17.

This is indeed very alarming

I guess if you've been smart with your trades you might be able to get one or two out and then in. But still 2 trades for 1 extra player is crazy.

Yes but it's beyond ridiculous we haven't beaten them at Suncorp in almost a decade. We are their bitches.

I think if fit Dugan will play origin due to his big game experience but he's so injury prone he's a very risky purchase.

Looking at centre options this year, I am sold on Duges, injuries and all.
Latrell and Aitken looking the only other keepers. Only 4 have an average above 37!! (ironically Duges is not one of them)

At this rate, he only needs to play one in two games to score as well as most other options anyway

Surely one or two of those round 13 players gets injured/suspended for a game or two during the bye period, which would normally be a hold but in that instance I would trade them out and back again in round 18.

Last night with injuries to SJ, Harris & Macca is a prime example of why having at least 10 trades left from round 18 is crucial. I think the best I've done is to have about 2-3 trades left.

100%. That's all I ever have left, but I'm trying extra hard this year. Three banked so far. Holding the likes of Murray, Brown, Fifita.

Who's Eels '18? Dead set I hadn't given myself any chance but the poor bugger has Harris, Macca and Hiku. I'm in with a shot. Need captain Cook to go on an expedition.

Don't stress, they get a arse kicking from the Storm but do some arse kicking themselves against the Tigers, its all good

This made me giggle.

I read this general trade usage summary prior to round 1:
use 10 trades max rounds 1-13
use 12 trades max rounds 14-17 (to set you up for bye round 17)
use 12 trades max rounds 18-26

Who are the round 17 guns anyway? I can only think of perhaps Mannering, Dedwards, Rapana, Macca, SJ, Arrow, Harris, Mbye. Hmm more than I thought actually, others?
