Yeah missing Thompson and Maloney has killed my value also. Also looking to do Croker to Cogger next week. I will be watching closely. Also want to keep an eye on Friend over the next two weeks while Rein is fattening.

Someone asked for it the other day and didn't have a chance to go over the stats. Haven't seen it covered anywhere else. But here is the impact Fifita has when Gallen doesn't play

2017 0 games for Fifita without Gallen

2016 5 games without Gallen low of 45 high of 68
Average score of 57(season average 63), average minutes 57(season average 54), average metres 180(season average 167). The thing that stands out is how low his TBs were during these game. Average 2 per game down on his season average of 4.8 per game. Interestingly his touches went up from season average of 20 to 23 per game. Also had a finals game of 79 points points (minutes not recorded)

2015 6 games without Gallen low of 55 high of 77 with 4 scores in the 70s
Average score of 67(season average 60) average minutes 56(season average 53) average metres 166(season average 170). 5 TBs per game pretty consistent with his season average of 4.4

2014 7 games without Gallen low of 53 high of 88
Average score of 66.7(season average 60.5) average minutes 57(season average 54) average metres 163(season average 142). 5.5 TBs per game consistent with season average of 5.3

TL;DR slight increase in minutes, slight increase in work rate and slight increase in average. Becomes way more consistent.

Geez, I hadn't looked at RTS's scores for the past months.
He's ripe for the picking and is close to a straight swap for Thompson.

I wouldn't be selling him because you'd be buying high and selling low with guy who is potentially a keeper and has already busted out a score of 90 this year.

Good shout on Friend. Firmly on the radar as we know what he can do. Robinson seems to be mixing his rotation depending on opponent. If we play a small pack Friend stays on for big minutes while Radley spends some time at lock to keep the big boys fresh for the back end where they can blow away the tired forwards.. If we play a big pack Friend spends some time on the bench so he can anchor the defense in the back end.

Cogger and Watson will give us a bit of an insight into play cycle. I am personally expecting some more kicking and control from Ponga. He has essentially been playing 5/8 with whoever wears 6 playing a fullback role stuck out on the right hand side. With Pearce gone I expect more floating and first receiver. Probably means less attacking stats but more run metres and kick metres.

After looking at Sorenson's stats from previous years, I think he is worth the punt. Should score well with a starting role.

Worth the punt if it meant missing Fifi this week?

It's just that we don't know if he will have a starting role past this week.

Yep, sadly I missed his 90, but I've been there for the 14, 24, 35 & 19. I have been talked into keeping him (the loss of money I'd experience is the main factor for me - it's over $150K I've lost on him now), but seeing what I've seen, I can't see how a 90 could happen again.

Thing about him and Thompson is, Thompson actually has a higher average (by 0.9, lol) but has been far more consistent. I could live with 30's between 70's and 90's, but the 14, 24 and 19 have, and will continue to lose me H2H's. I'm new to Fantasy this year, but from my experience so far, I wouldn't be recommending picking up RTS to anyone, lol.

Though, if you do snap him up for under $500K, which is where he will be very soon, possibly even next week? Then I guess you could take a gamble on him but he's just dangerous (not in a good way) to have in your starting side. Or so my experience has been anyway. Sad

I dont think Flanno puts a guy like Sorensen away after his impressive efforts. He will see opportunity ahead of most ithers now. And it's assuming.. but between Fiffy Gallen and Lewis theres always a scary chance of injury or rest injury down the line.

Lewis out for 4 weeks gives him the best opportunity possible. I'll take the punt if he starts.

Its just you and me talking about Hampton the last 3 or 4 weeks haha... but yes i want solid scores each week so the price keeps going up. As soon as he flounders and dries up are you punting ie, cashout ? Or is it going to be hard to let go ?
