Not being a cunt but the kid has always been a fantasy gun but along with Dugan
Probably the single most injury prone player in league cheer

Every kick he gets lumped and usually slow to get up, this isn’t new kid isn’t is a prospect. If he doesn’t get injured within next 3 weeks I’ll think about eating a hat

Would anybody be talking about any former gun if they were scoring 45-50? But he didn't, he scored a 72 and has kicked almost a kilometre in his last two games. Reality is he is a likely cut price keeper in a position where there are maybe 3 or 4 available, and he plays the first bye round. Plus, I am not sure if you realise this- but he is a bit of a POD. Great pickup IMO but his BE will be so low now it is now or never.

I rarely subscribe to injury concerns, I am waiting for Dugan to come back to bring him in  Basketball
My new "stacking the casualty ward" theory says that if he has already gotten his injuries out of the road and met his average for the season, he is far less likely to be injured from here on out Flip Off

Reynolds has missed 18 games through injury in 6 seasons before 2018.
The bulk of these come from two major stints where he sat out 5 games in the beginning of 2016,
after being injured in round 1, and missed 7 games between round 5 and 14 in 2015.
Last season he only missed the first and last game of the season.

AReyn proving to be a solid move early Welshy Balls

I think those of us who kept Doohickey should seriously consider him.  Reynolds should average at least 50 going forward and can pick him up for 670k next week.  My halves are very weak in Maloney and JMK.  Maloney is levelling out and will go backwards in a week or two probably, both cash and points.

Injury wise having Doohickey the handcuff is on.  Happy for Doohickey to lose his cash because AReyn will potentially make the same amount.  Maloney to AReyn on the cards next week.

I think ive convinced myself on Areyn too. Will still pickup DCE when he bottoms out and run those two and Matterson on the bench as backup in case Areyn does go down. Juicy!

Arey must surely be in contention for origin as well, right? Between him and Cleary?

The big score from Reynolds has come as such a good time it may be the perfect move for Maloney owners, who need to transition from a 623k topped out cow to the 850k player (Johnson/Cleary)

    So roughly a 50k swap

Thanks for breaking him in Welshy Smile

Edited: Not 100% sold on him yet, but just want to be part of the Saturday cool crowd

So why does the 72 from last night make ARey a gun, but the 4 scores below 50 to start the season are just OK to ignore

Completely anecdotal from watching Reynolds closely as a Souths supporter rather than a fantasy owner, but I am sure the stats will back me up- he always takes a while to get back to his best after injury. Never been a player to hit the ground running and often a poor kicking game for a short stint. I think he is over that hurdle now. But its not about the 72 points itself, it is about what that 72 does to his BE: getting on board before he goes up another 50k and his pricetag no longer matches the inherent risk of owning him

    Who is Matt Gillets Dummy?

What a scrub getting Martins points while playing Katoa in your 17.

I agree with everything you said here and was thinking the same all preseason when most of the talk here was he's injury prone and probably not worth the risk, but kept thinking that it's about time he has an injury free run for a while and will be a great POD, so I started the season with him instead of DCE and he lasted ONE game for me. I'm not saying don't pick him up, because he is doing now what I was hoping for in round 1 but he got me once already this year and I just hope he doesn't get anyone else with so many thinking of bringing him in.

You joking right? I have Gosi #3 and Katoa #4 on bench. Murray #5 Maloney #6. May keep Maloney points or switch

I wrote I'd take a proper look at him this week midway through the game last night. After a quick look today you may be right. Nothing in the first 4 games that is hugely different to the last two. Few more kms with 3tas compared to 0 in the 1st 4 weeks pale

    Things I liked:

    - the only time I saw walker kick is when Reynolds got tackled on the last play (once from memory). This is consistent with what I saw against the broncs a week earlier
    - goal kicking is a huge plus in a Souths team that has looked good but maybe hasn't had the best opposition the last two weeks but it's a great base stat to have

    Issues:
    - Can I trust him to stay upright?
    - doesn't seem to offer a lot in attack (Crichton isn't working yet?)
    - I'll need to go check his tackling history but thought he was fine last night

Lol at arey for origin. I can see him sustaining an injury just from being named. Shock, 2 weeks on the sideline
