Ok so I think I'll just go JMK to Brimson and RFM to ARey. Might bite me on the ass but I think RFMs price will start to drop and I'm not sure he would be in my side by years end

@ wackos - Arrow trained yesterday & will be fit to play v Knights.
I might go RFM to Arrow.

Any other centres outside of Marsters, Aitken and Mitchell worth grabbing?

I might captain Arrow for a punt.
I probably would trade RFM if I didn't have Rein, Griffin, Maloney, Kikau etc. etc.

Also, grab ARey as my second half or hold out for Cleary?

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread part 43
Really doing my head in on who to get in for Maloney, Watson vs Lamb. I always seem to own Lamb, pretty boring player, doesn't go big often. But he's pretty cheap, should score OK with goal kicking and general play kicking. Watson is DPP which is good, with me arsing Rein. So Cook has a bit of cover. Seems to be finding his feet, more up and down player reliant on big plays. Costs more.
Lamb is safe. And it would give me $140k extra, so in theory can upgrade a Kikau/RFM/JFH to CS9 in round 14. Hopefully then SJ is back, so I can actually play the bastard.

I like B. Lee, Copley, J. Croker, J. Roberts, Cotric, Lafai but these are all averaging under 40.

@White Lightning Yeah I'm liking Brenko and Copley. What happened to Hurrell? Who drops out for him if he makes his way back in?
I can pick up Aitken but he's premium price. No value there

I would favour Lamb over Watson. I think Watson is only a 40 point player whereas Lamb will score 35-40 points at 132k less.

Hurrell was dropped due to poor form & the way both Copley & B. Lee played means I can't see Hurrell getting back in.

I am going to ride the Duge-train to glassville when he gets named
I consider him the best centre available, as long as he can stay on the field.
But I am also picking up Adam Reynolds so that they can reverse the glassman polarity on each other.
Smart

See what happens when Duges, Aryen and Gallen all try to get through the injury door at the same time.
My team is indestructible!
INDESTRUCTIBLE!!!!

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread part 43
I was originally going to bring in DCE, but with Hodkinson joining I am holding off. Even assuming he didn't lose any kick metres at all, here are DCE's scores this year if he never had goal kicking:
47, 52, 46, 40, 83, 43, 13, 51, 45, 50 (Average 47)
Frightening stuff.

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread part 43
Hey folks. Currently on Page 7, heading out now but will be back later in between work to catch up on all the pages.
Looking at trading Inglis out, can grab any CTR/WFB. Thoughts on grabbing a Gun EG Tedesco/TTurbo/Mitchell/Aitken etc (But have them missing via Origin/R13 bye) or pick up a POD. Looking at Cotric/Copley from my brief look.
Own Ponga as my only "gun". Also owning Hiku, Issako/Thompson, but keeping them for now.
Thanks!!

zorasdomain wrote:How is everyone looking for the bye rounds this year? I haven't put much though into it, but actually being in with a shot this year means I probably should.
I'm looking alright for round 13, except for around 7 Origin possibilities who hopefully don't get their shot until game 2 or 3
I have 14 of my final team 17 already, but only 3 of those play round 17 and that includes Arrow who is an Origin possibility. There really don't seem to be many keepers who play round 17 (Smith, Johnson, umm... help?) Is everyone else just saying "fuck it, too hard" re: bye planning?
Had a look at the top 50 avg players for the second bye round. It's real slim pickings with Johnson smith, Harris and arrow being the standouts (Martin is in there), then second tier players like kikau, jfh, rfm are also in there. The rest are all in with a decent origin shout apart from Widdop. So you have to go searching beyond the top 50 for some extra numbers that second bye. When you consider you want he best 17 come seasons end, looking outside the 50 isn't very appealing.
In saying that, you could time some outside backs and make some ground over the origin month. Like if you were to pick the Canberra or storm outside backs. But you would probably have to keep them for the run home. Those with trades can afford to do some creative things for the second bye and make ground

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread part 43
All this talk about possibly trading out RFM or Kikau
For me Griffin is more of a concern, I'm not going to hold him for R13 with Levi taking minutes away. Time to trade him out

Lamb's scores have been complete dog $hit though, other than last week. He has basically played 80 the last 4 games.
I would never start him, and his ability to make cash is a bit dubious, especially given he could be dropped any week.
I'm paying extra for Watson, at least he is a good player.

As suggested by some on here I'll be working on building the strongest 17 asap.
And pre round 17 I'm planning do the maximimum 3 trade outs to bring some extra gun power for the Bye and reverse these trades before round 18 & 19
