That Lamb news makes the decision to buy him instead of Brimson even dumber. How many people went Cogger to Lamb, come on, own up, I sympathise.

I hope this is true. Not for Lamb but for me, a one week Coggar owner and refused to trade him.

eh, barely looked at the bye rounds, priority is hitting my final team asap, will be 7 trades away after those 2, then i'll use 2 of the trades for 13 to cash-out to a couple $212k'ers that jag a spot and a gun that plays, and that'll be about my only bye planning for the year, possibly a mistake, but i'm willing to take the points hit for 2 weeks to put myself in a better position for the other 11

Wasting trades on Knights halves, should of went the talented non dominant kicking one. So many trades wasted on this first bye and my numbers going backwards. Masterstroke trading Rein instead of Jogger this week..........for surgess

actually, for the first time i've counted, after those trades, i've got Ponga, Dugan, Matterson, Burgess, Fifita as my current Round 13 squad, unless some of Teddy, Mitchell, Inglis, JTurbo & Cook somehow manage to miss selection, and even then i might lose a couple of those i've originally counted, given Ponga, Dugan & Fifita are in the selection frame and Burgess always finds a way to miss the bye round (probably via this injury he just picked up) ... suppose i probably should bring Martin in as the cash-out instead then...

Thank god for Fonua not turning up to training. I probably would have traded JMK to Lamb this week if I had Fonua to cover the WFB spot.

If there ever was a silver-lining, this is it.

If someone gets injured right after you trade them in, that is unlucky, not a dumb trade (unless it was Dugan or ARey that you traded in)

Surgess suffered a busted ass in the middle of last year too, missed 2 weeks but the 2nd week was a bye week anyway so don't know if he would have played or not

Yeah felt like I had to hold Cogger as insurance after Gosiewski and Sorensen went down and then Cogger got dropped, in case Lamb sneezed too hard during a warmup. But this really is getting silly now. Hopefully evens out cashwise between the two of them before Pearce gets back.
But damn. You can put all your effort into conditioning your body to be right for the NRL, and all it takes is an awkward twist in a tackle or a favourable likelihood of making mid-season fantasy cash to have it all come undone in an instant. Martin & Brimson be warned.

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread part 44
Glad I kept Cogger & if Kennar returns next week I'll have a playing 21 man squad.
My question for you fellas:
Play Capewell or Martin as my last reserve.
I think both will play 80 minutes but certainly Capewell has more of a chance to play 80 minutes. The Sharks are at home & the Bulldogs are without their best forward RFM but maybe that helps Martin. I think they're are pretty even in terms of tackle counts in defense but based on my thinking that the Sharks are pretty firm favourites at home then I think Capewell has more of a chance of getting some attacking returns unless he is used as a decoy runner all day.
Thanks.

This does not help you at all, but if you are ever going to toss a coin between 2 players this is it. So evenly matched with potential scores. I have both and playing both but Capewell gets a meatpie today so i can ride his 64 through to round 13 when he gets benched next week for a 18.White Lightning wrote:Glad I kept Cogger & if Kennar returns next week I'll have a playing 21 man squad.

Rignt now I have to play him because of injuries/players dropped but after round 13 I don't think I want him in my 17 if he's going to get 40 minutes off the bench. Of course an injury to their forward pack changes everything but right now with everyone fit, the minutes aren't there.
