GG. Was a better match than expected I think. Australia turned up and Denmark were off

Better team in the 2nd half, shame we couldn't get the winner.
Should have brought Cahill on for Nabbout

No point Denmark going for it too much with France up next, get the draw and easier to plan against them next up, will only need a point now instead of potentially needing a win if they had lost today

So its actually straight forward now hey, we need to beat peru, but the more unlikely is that France need to beat denmark. And france are through regardless now, and again Denmark would only need a draw to nab the 2nd spot. Tricky

Like fuck me dead either keep it on Wednesday or if you are going to move it have it on a Saturday night.. It legit makes no sense!

It is 100% driven by ratings. A big event on a Sunday night is a ratings winner because everyone is in front of the TV anyway. You get all your casuals tuning in to watch it.

If its on Saturday night, you lose alot of the casual numbers because they're not that fussed about the game and will be out doing other Saturday night things.

Obviously I wish it was on a Saturday. For me and most of us, a sunday night is basically the same as a wednesday night, both work days the next day anyway.....

You guys realise the "product" is purely to suit TV and sponsors?
The players, crowd, fans, kids and everyone else have to fit around what some advertising exec thinks is best.

I agree with all of you but a Sunday afternoon is not what pays the bills.

I guess then, why don't they have a weekly NRL game in this Sunday night time slot too?
    It does make you wonder?????

I thought Ch9's preference was for Wednesday night origin. They don't like going a week without NRL to show on Friday night.

Isn't the move to stand alone origin to help minimise the impact to clubs during the origin period. And IMO that is a good thing.

We renamed it from boardgamefantasyfanatics.com last week.

You should know by now we can talk about anything in this thread, except

    a) fake rumours of player injury
    b) changing sub order after lockout

It seems like it's a compromise between the league getting a better schedule for clubs and nine still getting a timeslot that rates really well. Sure it's a pain having to work on Monday but it's a step in the right direction.

I feel that they could easily bring kickoff forward to 7pm and it wouldn't hurt ratings, and would make a lot of people happier, but in general I prefer this years setup.

If you had asked people to pick a kiwi test team at the start of the year, Isaac Luke and Marty Taupau are possibly the only two anyone would've picked correctly in their position.

A bit light in the halves and FB but that does look like a pretty good Kiwi team on form.
