Yea i reckon so, I'd argue you don't need Taupau with James, i mean I'd take Taupau everyday over him but no point wasting a trade doing that

I'd only worrying about a dip from Isaako, as a CTR he has far more value averaging under 40

I think Martin + Ponga goes for more than Isaako and Taupau

    Bit confused what to do...

    Smith
    Taupau Fifita
    James Taumololo Martin
    SJ Arey
    Isaako Aitken

    McInnes Milf Sua TPJ
    Mitchell Gutho Doui Turpin

    6 trades 90k

Thinking Farah needs to come in. Could do TPJ straight to Farah but he's a handy dpp forward cover . Other option is to cash out doui and get Farah with Gutho.

    Thoughts and suggestions?

Yeah I do. Currently ranked 669th. Am in an ultra-competitive H2H league so always try to have 7-8 trades left for H2H finals (rounds 22-25 this year).

Who are you swapping out for Taupau? Is Ponga plays next week and averages 50 (Current AVG 51) he ends up getting 350 points. Isaako playing an extra week and averaging 40 (Current AVG 37) ends up making 320 points. So is your trade out for Taupau making you an extra 30 points over the year? Though if Ponga misses two games the difference could be negligible.

Also Martin's AVG is 61 compared to Taupau's average of 56. So you could just be better off holding the trade. Personally it would frustrate me seeing Isaako in my starting 17. Because it's more likely he scores 30 points. Is there a reason you must make the trade this week?

Which guns for the run home hurts your team the most?

For me J. Trbojevic, M. Taupau are the two big ones I hurt seeing my team without. Then I feel like the next gun I am missing is Crichton with the rest of the main guys being injured or a step down.

Team is in reasonable shape, a bit of cash in the bank too.

    Smith
    Arrow, Fifita
    Taumalolo, Kikau, James
    DCE, AReynolds
    Aitken, Hiku
    Tedesco, RTS, JMK

    Res: Cook, Martin, JFH, Jensen

    Emg: Ponga, Inglis, Lewis, MWright

A couple of holes to fill, hopefully in time for Round 22. Every year I jealously watch everyone else trading like crazy. I basically trade vicariously by following all the guys on the forum!

    Any other thoughts what to do fellas please;

    Smith
    Fifita Taupau
    Arrow Tolo Crichton
    ARey SJ
    Mitchell Marsters
    Teddy MBye Ponga*

    Cook James Martin JFH

    Lewis Holland* Doueihi Mann

    8 trades and 123K.

    A. Thinking either JFH to Farah and run with Holland until Ponga returns and Lewis would have to be my 18th man.

    B. Or James to Farah and then Mann to Cotric/Turbo/Aitken and have cover until Ponga returns but will have to run JFH or Lewis in my 17 for the time being.

Option A gives me a solid 17 but option B still gives me a just as strong 17 and a good 18th and 19th man.

    Thanks all.

Either option looks good. You either save a trade and keep Gutho as 18th man or double trade and keep TPJ as 18th man. TPJ would be frustrating to own at the moment, but he has a massive ceiling, and Doueihi looks like he's staying on the bench. Disappointing as I thought he'd get rewarded with a starting gig, but coach obviously still not confident in Reynolds staying fit perhaps, seems strange.

Who are you running instead of Ponga and Cook mate?

Both are going to be in 98% of the top team who are just going to pull away from you, if injuries occur to them they will just be replaced with the next best thing so I don't think you can run without them personally

Yeah mate, that's why I'm looking at reverse POD's.  I could be wrong but my read is that 4 trades left would be the average, which is what I have.  There are quite a few with none now; a few with a couple in hand for injuries; most of us around the 3 or 4 mark (I reckon); and some still with crazy numbers.

We've had those years where next to no-one gets injured in the run home, and those years where 3 or 4 go down in a single Round.  So I am happy to sit back and save ALL 4 trades up till Round 21/22 instead of trying to fine tune my team.  If there isn't a Neymar-like injury toll then I probably settle in the Top 1000 still hopefully. If it goes topsy turvy in the last month then anyone with trades left should climb the ranks.

In regards Ponga-like most I bought in RTS, so Ted/RTS/Turbo.  For those who held Ponga, nothing lost.  But Hammies are shit so I wouldn't be bringing him in first game back personally.

In regards Cook-I have McInnes/Farah/SJ/NBrown as my 4 Reserves; and Surgess as 18th man, with Smith as my starting Hooker.

Leaning to keep Gutho. Less cash left on the pine but can still deliver on solid 40 in need. Just worried could end up a handy POD in later rounds.
