There are some like myself who choose to use it and have nothing against it or people that use it. Those of us who choose to exploit it though, know the risks and last night I showed that it's not an automatic points boost.

With Holland scoring 54 I could have chosen to sit any of my backs, MBye, Aitken, even SJ, ARey, Teddy or Mitchell, but I chose Marsters because he had a 3 game average before that of 31 or something. I lost 12 points. If I benched Aitken or MBye it would have come off but really only would have netted a max of 17 points.

I'm not mad at all in fact happy Marsters showed some strong form again and I myself chose to loop but just wanted to mention it again for those that did not log in last night.  I think people overreact and those that are against it just remember it's a bet and bets don't always pay off.  Some are betting people and some are not and thats fine. Looping is like I think betting on a $1.20 favourite and the other team gets the win. Nothing is garunteed.

At the end of the day though, I will still probably loop.  I don't really want to start another discussion cause it's been done but wanted to get my point across of my looping fail.

Saying that, if Latrell wants the arvo off, I don't mind haha.   Laughing

Unsurprisingly a bunch of fantasy nerds talked about this at the footy yesterday. It is not against the rules and 1st place is good enough to use it I don't see why anyone wouldn't

Not sure I have successfully looped/ prepared for looping. I think I've tripped myself up by bringing in the wrong red dots. Either same team or wrong position.

I agree completely. I dont know if Fanhab intentionally created this but its a game within a game.

Do you take your 18th player's 46 or play your solid 55 points player. The solid player can have blinder and score 81 or get injured in the 5th minutes with a -1 score.

By call it loopholing we have made it a dirty word. Its part of the game that is currently designed. People who dont do it either dont know how to do it or dont have time to think this through so its easier to take a moral high ground, in my opinion.

    Cheers team this round

    Smith
    Taupau Fifita
    Taumololo JTurbo Martin
    Arey SJ
    Mitchell Aitken
    RTS Teddy Mbye

    Mcinnes Farah James Milf
    Isaako Doui Turpin BGray

Isaako us the most likely I'd like to loop but one red dot is turpin, so they lock the same time. Someone mentioned roosters being good for the red dot but I chose Gray frf/2rf thinking his dpp would be handy . This week I'd have been better of having wfb/ctr red dot so that i could switch out mbye or mitchell and take Isaako's 50.

I could have done this with a forward but picking which forward gun goes under 50 is harder.

I originally had Garner as my cash, hindsight it would be good to have an EMG like Garner that can knock out a 40+ in case of a couple of injuries later in the rounds.

All good though, just an example where trying to be tricky can trip you up. I think the key us to have a strategy and stick to it, not have a bit each way.

Anyone who takes the high road and looks down on those for using the loophole piss me off.

I dont feel like it's any different to using a captain to get double points. Just because it's written in the rules doesnt make a shred of difference. If its functionally possible its allowed.

It also says in the rules you cant run 2 teams. But how many people who dont loop have 2 teams ?

I like to call it EBM. Extended bench management.

I'm not very good at it, although I've never brought in a player specifically to use it.

Every week there's a red dot or two somewhere.

Hey man, I get what you are trying to say in your earlier post, and while I agree with the "betting man" analogy in terms of whether or not looping will pay off, I think the point you are missing, or at least my interpretation about why some people are against it, is that for some it is a morale issue, perhaps even an ethical one. Your post gave me the impression, to me at least, that it was just a "are you a betting man or not" type thing.

God the Cows are awful. Pathetic taking the 2 points, 3 times in a row at the start of the match despite being behind. De Belend gets sent off, and they take the 2. Weak.

These guys deserve the spoon, Eels and Bulldogs are better sides ATM. When is the media going to rip them? Or because JT is in his last season, they are a completely protected species.

Are there many/any who are suggesting they are superior to others because they dont loop on this forum though?

To me there are people that have posted that they think its just a really dumb part of the game. Some of those are like myself who loop when they can find the time, and others dont (for what ever reason).

Then there are a few on this site who have articulated why they dont loop, and that for them it is an issue of morality. I dont think those posters, from what I have read are trying to impose that on others, or look down on anyone though. My impression is they are just stating how they feel, which is just as valid as your post, my post or anyone else on this issue.

South Sydney Rabbitohs forward Sam Burgess has not been charged after being placed on report during last night's game against the Wests Tigers.

Burgess was placed on report in the first half of the Rabbitohs Round 19 clash for what the referee deemed to be a high shot on former teammate Robbie Farah.

Burgess is now clear to face up against the Parramatta Eels next Saturday.

I agree. I think if theyd have lost the 2015 GF then knives would be out for them. Winning that GF has probably earnt them a reprieve (rightly or wrongly). Imagine the scrutiny if they were still looking for the first GF, given the expectations that were on them to start this year. People would be calling for Green to be sacked immediately.
