Haven’t heard much encouraging news on ponga. No obvious weakness in your team, and you know my views on trading players outside of the 17. I think I’d be holding.
I read somewhere that Nathan Brown basically confirmed today on the footy show that Ponga will play next week.
I didn’t see it but perhaps someone who did can confirm.

Here's a story about how much PODs can help (or hurt) your score.
The team that is now in 2nd has 13 players the same as my team with only 4 players different. I considered him one of my least likely threats because of the similarity of our teams. But this week his team outscored mine by 88 points.
He had Dufty, TPJ, McInnes and Crichton.
I had Farah, Arrow, JTurbo and RTS.
I like my 4 better and wouldn't have picked his 4 to ever be able to outscore mine by that much and I'm hoping they don't make a habit of it.
88 points difference from 4 players is massive. Shows my lead is not real safe and a few dud scores (or good ones from others) can really mix things up.

But those 4 players won't outscore your 4 players every week.  Your 4 I'd say is stronger they just scored well below their averages, that won't happen every week.  Crichton also was about average, McInnes slightly above average but Dufty and TPJ won't do that each week.  Your 4 were well below, especially Farah and Arrow and the other two also to a certain extent.

Just wanted to pop in and say hi after being MIA for a while. Have just recently moved from aus to England and have taken a few detours along the way (2 months) before starting work. Can’t seem to login to the old account anymore so have set a new one up.

Looking forward to meeting the forum members that arent asleep now and watching most matches while half asleep still (half used to it with the NFL anyway).

Fantasywise I’m starting to look at raiders players now that they can mathematically make finals but probably can’t. Traditional peak raiders form time.

No, I should hope they won't outscore me every week. Especially if they have any players out as their EMGs are rubbish.
But the point I was making is that even with very similar teams, a lot of ground can be made up very quickly with a little bit of of luck.

I now have 5 trades left for 6 rounds.

What's the most trades we've had someone finish on?

I've finished with a trade spare before but no more. Might end up with 2+ this year. :/

The consistency of scores shows how similar everyones teams are now. So many in the 910 to 920 area.

Well sucked in everyone, I didn't crack the 900! (892, so not too bad, just one too many of the low scorers it seems).

Ah true.  I guess you just have to be very lucky that every different player in your team outscores the different players in a team ahead of you.

I didn't crack 900 either this week. Worst score in a long time.

If ponga comes back this week, it will be one of the first weeks I’ve actually had a choice between decent players. The choice likely will be between playing rapana and aitken. Rapana against storm isn’t great prospect, but aitken isn’t seeing much ball at the moment.

After thinking at half time re Manly v Roosters that I'd struggle to reach 900 then DCE, Mitchell, Tedesco & Turbo decide to go on a points spree in the 2nd half & I end up on 969 points & up to rank 10. Pretty happy with that.

Just realised I can throw my season to the fantasy gods and go:

    Ponga > Matterson
    Lewis > Mitchell

With 1 trade left my team will be:

    Cook
    Arrow, Fifita
    Taumalolo, Surgess, Martin
    Matterson, DCE
    Aitken, Hoppo
    Teddy, RTS, Mitchell

    Smith, McInnes, Farah, SJ
    Kikau, CWalker, WGraham, Holland

    Absolutely bonkers hahaha

Why would you trade ponga out the week he is coming back?

    Two reasons.

Number one, supposedly coming back is the correct term I believe.

Number two, I have no chance of winning the thing so why not have some fun.
