Option 1: Captain Cook.
Option 2: consider going for POD captain briefly, then Captain Cook.
Option 3: for those who don't have Cook. Trade in Cook. Captain Cook

Gotta play it safe. Can't run the risk of coming 109th and losing all of my non-existent credibility.Rippin and Tearin wrote:
I guess this would be THE week to go out on a limb. Every man and his dog will be on Cook you'd think. You'd make some good ground if you went against the tide and got it right.

I'd do it if that was the consensus but I see it as a bit of dick measuring to be honest. I guess without the ranked leagues we do need to show off how much better than the others somehowRippin and Tearin wrote:By the way, had the forum ever considered pushing for its members to include NRLFF in their team name (like a few of the other groups do)? I presume this has come up before and its been a conscious decision not to?

Should we talk about SJ at home verse the Knights ?
I don't even know what to do about SJ. He's currently my 18th man this week. I have Milford and Reynolds who I'm pretty confident in, but SJ scares me. Could go low or could go huge, especially this week.

You can add Storm v Sharks to that, who have been building a nice little rivalry in the last few years.Krump wrote:How good is it to have the QLD derby and the Roosters and Rabbits in the same week. Mouth watering.
In 2015 there was an inter page/forum Comp set up in honour of the passing of Gareth Lafsky, a long term DT player from across pretty much all the groups. It was a GoFundMe and everything was donated to GL's family.Rippin and Tearin wrote:By the way, had the forum ever considered pushing for its members to include NRLFF in their team name (like a few of the other groups do)? Everyone had a second team entered with your prefix denoting your allegiance:
SPTL Sportal (us)
LGND Legends (Gareth's group)
RNGD Renegades
OTLS Over The Line Sports (defunct)
WPNS Weapons (defunct)
Renegades had made it a rule in the few years leading up to this that to be a part of their cash leagues/banner comp etc that you had to 'rep' the Renegades name. When the Renegades marriage broke up Rogues starting the same idea. So that's why you see a lot of both groups names. Some of the Legends guys still use their prefix nowadays as well.
Anyone still got a copy of the "For Sportal" piccy for old times sake
