Yeah I'm out in the Waitakere's on the Scenic Drive at the Swanson end. Hopefully it remains fine for the rest of the day but Penrose must be absolutely freezing.

Play Arrow or Surgess? Does it really matter now?

Now Peachey is having 2nd thoughts about moving to the Titans next year to take up a 3 year deal. In my day in 1868 someone's word was their bond. Peachey must be friends with DCE & Tedesco.

I think Surgess just based on expected minutes. Tight choice

Seems like both are struggling with injuries/rotation. Arrow has been players 50 odd minutes & Surgess last 2 games he's played 74 & 60 minutes. I'd play Surgess because the last 2 games he may of just got a rest & may not be injured but at least he's playing more minutes than Arrow.

Funny how uneventful your week comes when you have no trades left.

Thanks to Ponga, and Alvaro my depth is being tested. Still have a solid 17. But any early game injuries this rd will be disastrous.

Im bored AF on my last day of a job. So I apologise for the spiel. but it keeps me occupied for 3mins

This year is the first year ive played for overall. Really enjoyed it. Cant believe how consistent my team has been, since rd 3 my team has left the top 100 once. generally been between 30-80th. Currently sitting at 45.

My approach to this year was the cows and guns approach. Think it worked well. Players like Havili and Maloney were game changers for me. A few times I wanted to offload havili but had other holes to plug. Each time he put on a good score and made more cash. I avoid a lot of 'mid range cows' this year, players that have been notoriously crap in the past but some how people expected them to excel for what ever reason. Maloney been the obvious exception to this rule.

I really have no idea where I am going with this.

I think that following the crowd has been pretty helpful this year, but not doing so blindly.

    I'm depressed. Not owning DCE and Turbo has fucked my season and I'm fucked in my work league too which hurts the most. I have 2 trades and 107K and am fucking lost now in what I should do. Feel like giving up, in two weeks ranking went from like 330 which was my best ever now sitting around 800 which is looking like my worst season. My team is;

    Cook(C)
    Taupau Fifita
    Crichton JTurbo Tolo
    Cleary SJ
    Marsters Aitken
    Teddy Mitchell Ponga

    Smith Martin Farah Arrow

    ARey Holland Clifford Rooster RedDot

With Ponga out and I hesitated yet again on Turbo and DCE, what the fuck should I do? Trade Ponga to RTS? Trade him to James and run Holland with no cover? Trade ARey to James and bench Arrow? Use both trades downgrade Ponga to hayne or Fergo and upgrade Reynolds to McInnes? Punt on Holmes? I want this season to be over now. Also with Fifita issues, Smith, Arrow's minutes it's just suddenly looking grim.

I feel for Zora, he must be dying inside, poor fella.

Hey so what happens with the banner - do we just skip old Tommy T? Poor fella, no time in the spotlight thanks to DCE!

That hardly seems fair. Maybe they could share the love until Smith hits 100 on the weekend?

Edit: Found a pic of them.

We are in a very similar boat mate! Im 48th currently, and seem to have had similar experiences.

Following the crowd has definitely been helpful for me, or at least at times selectively listening to the opinions of some and on other occasions identifying collective trends.

At the end of the day though you have to make your own calls.

Im not quite sure where I went wrong this year - or at least how I could have improved. Definitely a few average picks to start the season (Croft, Nikorima, Nicholls, Aubs 0) ) and then a couple of poor trades early.. which ultimately meant I couldn't get guys like TTrbo, Mitchel, and Marsters come the end. It also meant I've had 0 trades since round 18 but that hasn't cost me yet (fingers crossed).

I've definitely had a pretty average record with my Captain choices too. Particularly over the last 4 rounds where I missed the two big Cook scores only to get his latest two.

Still a ways to go but Im hoping I can stay in the top 50 which Id be pretty stoked about seeing as this is my second year and last year I cant even remember where I got (certainly not top 1000 anyway).
