I've been pondering that the last few days. There's certainly a risk of second year syndrome. Even if he does score as well as last year, including him may mean one or two less guns in the squad which means you'll ultimately need more trades to achieve a final team. I'm open-minded but at this stage I'm leaning towards leaving him out.

I’m leaning towards McInnis going bigger this year or even McCullough at his price and the idea that seebs loves an 80 minute hooker.

I don't think Cook will be the same. Still a gun and a keeper, but too expensive and will definitely lose money. I'm with ST for the same reason. It will be a Mac for me

Cam Smith's the tricky one. His last three years go 66.6, 62.6, 59.7. The start of a decline?? Or take out his sin bin match and injury affected game and the avg is 63. Hmm.

I've been reading the sc forum & apparently part of the reason Napa was released was because L. Collins is rated so highly. In 2018 Collins played 23 mins/game, Napa played 42 mins/game. Apparently Collins is the apple of the coaches eye so imo it's logical to assume Collins should get a big minute boost in 2019 to match Napa's 2018 minutes. What do you reckon boys.

Could be worth a shout. Can't wait to see the bench rotation in the WCC.

Agree, Smith is a tricky one this year. If you leave cook and smith out you need to find a suitable captaincy option. Maybe Crichton? Running off cronk seems appealing

Nat Butcher is highly rated too (or used to be).

What is there full strength lineup this year?

    JWH Friend ?
    Cordner Crichton
    ?

I'd think Taukeiaho and Radley, possibly Liu as well would be contenders for starting spot.
Trials might show up something different.

Plenty of bench minutes available though for someone.

Apart from Haas im gonna try to avoid all bench props, mid range props that may or may not have increased minutes. Hopefully someone like TPJ is still DPP. Then I might start with a 60 min prop like Taupau

Bit hard to captain a player not in your side Captain Morgan.

Is that Morgan Boyle Welshy? I was keen on him too but Titans seem pretty lousy for forwards for a change

James, Arrow, Boyd, Wallace, Procotor, King, Hipgrave, Cartwright, Latu, Matthews, Stockwell, Boyle and Whitbread

I don't think I'll start with any Titans this year

Yes mate if he works his way back into rotation will be a good earner, probably needs an injury or 2 though

He is one of the fittest blokes in the comp so I have no concerns on him physically being able to back it up. My major concern is Bennett has never been a huge fan of big minute hookers always leaning towards a bench utility. It is probably a wait and see for me

Jack Williams is a good shout. If they didn't pick up Woods he would probably have the role as first middle off the bench, not sure if there are enough minutes to start the year with Fifita, Prior, Gallen and Woods taking the majority but should pick up a bigger role towards the end. Will be a slow burner IMO

Plenty of minutes to go around in the pack with the loss of Matterson and Napa. Crichton slots in to a big minute role on the edge with him and Cordner playing close to 80 every week. Robbo has always loved a bench utility so I don't see that changing for 2019. Bench impact is also a very big part of the game plan so expect some players that can up the tempo off the bench. I expect something like this for the early rounds with Aubbo spending time at hooker and the 17 position rotating dependent on opponent.

    8.JWH
    9.Friend
    10.Tauk
    11.Cordner
    12.Crichton
    13.Liu
    14.Aubbo
    15.Radley
    16.Tetevano
    17.Collins/Tupouniua/Butcher

Tl;dr the only Roosters forward I will be touching is Crichton until we see how things shake out
