I would think Ofa is the big mins guy. He would regularly play 80 mins at prop when he came through the 20s (sure, that was a while ago). But yeah, I see him as being the no frills big mins worker while TPJ is impact in smaller mins. But TPJ in 50 mins might match Ofa in 70 mins..

JFH - Most likely going to keep that lock forward role. With the departure of Merrin there are big minutes to share around the rest of the park and most believe JFH could benefit the most from this. Last year in the 10 (2 x 80 minute games) games he played at 60 minutes plus he averaged 45.4 with 3 above 50, 1 below 40, a high of 59 and a low of 36. In the 2 games that he played the full 80 minutes he scored 51 and 48 all of this without scoring a single try all year. Priced at around 40-42 points if he can pick up the fitness, lose those silly errors and penalties he makes each game and just tackle his way to 50+ points which he can do he could be a solid pick up. No DPP is shit as he is only running 2RF but could be a cheap solid 50 point scorer all year.

TL;DR - JFH could turn a 42 point price into a 50 point avg year with some fitness and level headedness.

So I did have a big post written up in regards to this, this will be much shorts.

Parra/Warriors HLFs are must have. Egan & Bird also a lot of value for them.

Lomax wont flop imo, but don't start him. He can definitely potentially string a few games together to earn cash.

I don't know much about Collins, but agree Haas may be unlucky to get enough minutes to get value.

Why does Tautau Moga lose a spot if Ramien leaves? He may still lose it initially due to the assault charges, but if he is playing Round 1 he can definitely score great.

Cartwright is a guy I will get suckered into. Brad Abbey as well, as I already know he will be Feeney 2.0 but I wont start him.

Some other guys that I am looking at are Ava Seumanufagai if he can nail down a starting spot. Which will be hard because he has Woods/Prior in front of him. Woods could also do the same albeit in a much higher price bracket.

    B. Xerri could end up sneaking a starting spot with the hype around him. Kurt Baptiste also a guy that could make cash if he can get some decent minutes off the bench at the Cowboys, and someone I have an eye on. I heard the Reed Mahoney rumours last year I recall. He doesn't score amazing in the 80 minutes but should average around 40 points.

I think youse have the Ramien situation messed up. Ramien is joining the Knights not leaving them.
Also, Mahoney scored 46 and 49 in his two 80 minute stints last year.

Offa could grind out a 50 point game with tackles and RM's but playing the full 70 whereas TPJ could get 60 in 45 minutes by busting 3 tackles, having 4 offloads and scoring a try over 3 people. I remember last year TPJ had a great game, offloads everywhere and then Bennett told him to stop offloading and just keep it safe. I wonder if Seibold will allow him to use his offloads. Souths last year were somewhat free playing at times so could benefit him.

    Welp I am retarded lol.

Yeah Moga will struggle to stay relevant then, and no idea where I got that stats from for Reed in my head lol. But no he should if getting 80 minutes average over 40 points then. So if he ends up the only Hooker he becomes a must have while priced at 33 points.

Initial thoughts on JFH are that he's priced too high, with not enough upside to be terrific value. Just keeping half an eye on him for now

Mahoney looks like one of this tough little nuggety players. Reminds me of a mix of Ennis, Luke and BSmith. Only thing I have heard is he tends to be on the wrong end of penalties most times and is a bit hot headed but he doesn't mind getting down and doing the dirty work which i like. He was the Blues U20's hooker wasnt he?

Anyone who has Abbey in their team should become accustomed to the sort of disappointment raiders fans have when he stands under a high ball. The guy is a potato with feet for hands. He is the personification of Mr Potato head.

From my perspective i didn't see any of his SG/U20's footy days but from what i have seen from his days in the NRL he just seems like another number filler. Doesn't do anything spectacular but just does his job. How was he coming through the ranks?

Definitely wont be in my team come Rd 1

Not sure about coming through the ranks. I don’t buy into that sort of thing anyway. It’s a big jump to the nrl. He was exposed pretty bad in nrl IMO. Offers nothing. As a raiders fan, I’d happily be proven wrong. But I don’t hold high hopes

I don't think Haas will get the minutes to make him a worthwhile pickup. But is there any merit in the idea that if you're picking TPJ or offa at FRF and one of them is injured, then you might be able to play Haas at FRF for a game or two assuming he would get more minutes in such a situation?

Hmm I just read that back, you really need your cows doing better than that hey?

Haas is pretty cheap, so if he looks like getting any sort of decent bench minutes (you would want to be confident of getting over 20 minutes a week) he *might* be OK for a slot in 18-21. But likely there will be better options out there

    Hi guys,

Is there a site which has recent years fantasy stats all compiled? I used to use http://www.nrlfantasystats.com but that's a year behind now...

In the absence of that, can anyone tell me how Gillett scored the last few years?

I know hes young but I would have thought the Broncos would want more than 20 minutes out of a kid on a 6 year deal.

What's the issue? (there are probably heaps.. as the amount of actual testing I did totaled about 5 minutes.. anything other than Chrome browser is basically untested.. haha)

Haas should be our first interchange off the bench this year. Good for 35 mins I would think. I feel a bit uneasy about picking him though.
