Once again, I am not sure about my trades! I think I want to get To'o, he should score well this round, but can't decide who to move out: Sivo, Manu, Nikora, or Fifita/Fonua-Blake/Taupau. Maybe I'm chasing points?

Do you have all 3 of Bateman, Latrell and Ma'u?

I think you can lock them in as 3/4 must-haves for CTW.

Maumalo's a clear 4th on averages, but I'm hoping his tries dry up since I have Nikora who's 5th overall and dealing with a bit of an ankle issue.

B2's not really on my radar with the 4 I have and if copping an injury, I'd probably look at taking the plunge on Guth or CNK again as I prefer FBs over wingers.

Guth was HIA'd for 0 one game, so his average is a bit better than it shows.

A friend is playing B2 over Nikora this week though, so if you have trades to burn and want to play him this week and bench other weeks as back-up, it could work out.

I'd hold onto AFB, Taupau and Fifita though I think. Taupau and Fifita I've left out this week though, AFB I don't have, but he's one of the best FRs this season.

Thanks, WT for your wisdom again. I have Bateman, Mitchell, Manu, Sivo, Nikora, Allan and nuffie. I want to get rid of Allan, but he's worth nothing. Ma'u is tempting, but I thought someone like B2 might score 100+ whereas I don't think Ma'u will. LOL, that theory isn't working well for Latrell tho is it?
I've got 8 trades left, so I can play around a little perhaps

Jazz at hooker means less hit up pts but more tackles?

No worries Very Happy I'm not doing too well though, so not sure how good my advice is Embarassed

Latrell can be a bit up and down, but has recovered his average after a slow start to be a set and forget guy I think with 68.8. Not far behind Bateman with 69.8 and an injured 20 odd.

I don't like relying on tries from the wingers like Maumalo, Sivo and B2, but if having them as a 5th option, they're pretty good cover, or on a week like this one where Nikora could be hampered and the wingers have favourable draws with Dogs and Dragons.

I'd be tempted to turn Sivo and JoManu into a nuffie and Ma'u. That would give you the same 4 as I have and they're top 3 on averages and 5th (Nikora).

Nikora could be the other tradeout option, but his 61 average is a bit better than Sivo (56) and Manu (48.6 with a 100+ at FB).

I went Marsters to Ma'u this week, but turns out I should have waited 1 more.

Mau's averaging 66 though and didn't play 80 for the first 6 out 7 games when returning from injury. He should be locked in for 80 now I think as that's been his usual role, but then he has signed for ESL next season, so never know I guess. Averaging 72.3 from the 6 games he played 80 in the last 7.

His highs have been 85 vs. Knights with a try in 42 mins (first game back), 81 vs. Raiders with a try and 79, 75, 70 last 3 games without a try. He looks like he can hit those 60+ scores consistently without tries.

B2's averaging 58.4, but could bump it up to 62.7 minus his debut game where he only scored 24. Averaging 60 neat taking his low and high out.

His highs have been an 82 vs. Titans with 2 tries, 80 vs. Dragons with 2 tries and 78 vs. Rabbits with a try, so I think he'd need a hattrick to hit the 100+.

I just think wingers are too much of a lottery trying to predict if they'll score this week and gives me a headache, so I like the set and forget consistent guys. Bateman, Ma'u and Nikora all playing SR and capable on attack, and Latrell pretty dangerous on attack and has the goalkicking boost.

Pretty sure that ship has sailed. He was good value at 221k when I bought him.
Looking to sell this round as he’s close to peaked. Better options even at his price.

Ok, so I traded Jazz out for Ma'u. Wasn't a trade I'd considered until 5.55PM, so I'm hoping it works out, ha. I'll forget B2 and opt for stability. Thanks guys

Haha rapid fire decision making, hope it works out too cheer

I've been deathriding both Ma'u and Tevaga for weeks after picking Twal over Tevaga for the bye because of Tevaga's constant injuries. Cashed out Twal this week for the cash to upgrade Marsters to Ma'u, so no longer deathriding him.

I just remembered that I bought Tevaga to make money, so that only works if I cash in. In the long run, Ma'u should score more. I'm deathriding SJ, but can't afford him this week

Only 1355 here.. Might be some decent updates coming Teddy and Latrell's way.

Hopefully for Cook and Nikora too.

Wishing I had the guts to C Teddy, but didn't want to risk moving it off Cook. Could've been worse anyway with Taumalolo and Haas.

Of course Ma'u puts up a season low in 80 after trading him in Mad

Went up 1 spot from 33rd to 32nd with 1404. Made some stuff ups with my bench playing player choices as usual like us all Laughing but at least I held and didn't lose ground for the week.

Got my key ring in the mail the other week for last year finally cheer cheer

1447 saw me go back up 122 places to 239th. About 350 points from top 10 so im going to try a few risky moves in the coming weeks. Still don't have Turbo, with the Warriors tough finish to the season i think RTS will be traded this week but i am seriously tempted to use DPP and get DCE/Johnson for RTS and leave Turbo Tommy out. That would definitely make or break my season, most likely break! If i do get Turbo Tommy i will probably look to go unique in other areas to try and make up the ground.

EDIT: I almost went RTS -> Johnson last round which would've been a very handy trade in hindsight. Oh well, i was happy to back RTS in as he was in supreme form but now looking at their draw to finish the season and he has got to go. I have 200k itb so can go to anyone but obviously Turbo is the % play.

Updated to 1376, but lost my H2H by a point, dropping from equal 1st to 5th Laughing

Thanks for that last second penalty Moses you fucking drip. Should've played SJ over him to cancel out.. stupid prick has been on my bench all these weeks other than the 20 for the bye round.

Played Taupau over Jake last week, then switched it back this week and natch Jake doesn't play 80 again when I play him.

Nice. Yeah in that position you might as well take those risks to go for a top 10. I'm 98 points from top 10 so worth taking some risks to get in there. Rather drop ranks and finish in the 100's than play it safe and finish 32nd. As the season draws to an end will take even more risks if still not in the top 10.

Couple of years ago I was in the 20's with few rounds to go. Took some risks to get into the top 10. Didn't work out and ended up 56th. Last year same thing and faded to 123rd taking risks on the run home. Hopefully this year some of the risks pay off on the way home.

Good luck for the run home Smile

That's unlucky. In one of my leagues I dropped from 1st down to 4th with like a draw and 2 close losses lately. Time for revenge soon in the finals Laughing

Thanks mate, I needed that vent Laughing I like the Trb bros, so I'd like to withdraw the overrated comment Laughing

Frustrating last couple of weeks though when I have 20 guns and even the shit teams have now managed to assemble 17 and that's all that matters.

8th in my league just put up 1510 this week, so will be a kick in the guts if I can't get back in the top 4 and get rolled by him Week 1 Evil or Very Mad

I think ive now convinced myself that in order to have a chance of making up ground on the top 10 i need to go unique so i think im going to go with a unique who i believe will finish the season very strongly instead of Turbo. It will probably come back to bite me but i think its now or never. I may be able to play for a top 300 or 200 spot but id much rather throw caution to the wind and risk blowing out to outside the top 500-1000 than never give myself a chance of finishing top 10-100. I'll definitely be death riding Turbo which will make me super anxious but oh well there is nothing to lose. If i was in a cash league id probably play it differently.

Anyway, nice work being in the top 35! 98 points puts you well within reach. Definitely worth taking risks to make up that ground but in your position you dont need to take any stupidly big risks that are more likely to backfire than succeed. You've got the right mindset though, got to go for glory with that top 10 finish and risk dropping hundreds of places rather than finishing top 50 but not giving yourself a realistic top 10 chance. Sounds like you've got a very impressive history of results so you clearly know what you are doing, its my first year so im pretty stoked ive got myself in the position i have.

Would be awesome if we could both make the top 10 haha. Best of luck!
