I thought Lomax was favoured for a centre role, and the others fighting for the wing spot? Hmm, Dufty misses out with Widdop at FB, but Nene's gone, Aitken on the outer, nightingale retired, I'm forgetting someone?

With Aitken apparently on outer and Nightingale and Nene gone, 3 spots up for grabs

Aitken was in origin talks last season. i think he will be there. lafai grabs the other centre spot. then jordan pereira will most likely be on the left wing, which leaves lomax and ravalawa fighting for the last spot.

    For me dragons side is;
    Dufty
    pereira
    aitken
    lafai
    lomax/ravalawa
    widdop
    hunt
    graham/Korbin
    Mcinnes
    vaughn
    frizzel
    tariq
    JDB (if all goes well)
    Bench
    Graham/Korbin
    Leilua
    Lawrie
Norman( Only on bench cause i think he brings more utility value then someone like dufty)

The debate i see is between norman, widdop and dufty and where they play. I think mary will look to bring graham on as an impact forward to boost the team around the 20 minute mark. the team really lifted last year when graham was fresh onto the field. I think aitken is more safe then lafai. aitken could switch sides pshing lomax onto right centre and ravalawa and pereira on the wings.

I'm not excusing what Barba has done & he deserved to get the boot but we've all done & said things on the piss that after waking up the next day we truly regret although probably not to the same degree. I feel sorry for the bloke because this morning he's woken up & realised he's destroyed his nrl career & probably his league career, his partner has probably left him & he's looking like being charged by police for assault. But actions have consequences & Barba will have to own up to what he's done & try to improve himself as a person. If he asked me for advice the first thing I would say to him is....give up the alcohol because you can't handle it.

On the Dragons don't try & second guess what McGregor will do because even Dragons fans don't understand the logic of his selections at times. He usually goes with what he knows & always takes the ultra conservative route & doesn't seem to have any imagination at all. He'd rather keep playing the incumbant even if he's in poor form e.g. Lafai/Aitken rather than picking some talented young player with potential to start e.g. Lomax. That's why Dragons fans want him to get the sack just about every week.

Both in for big seasons after losing Mcguire I reckon, both potentially could be logging around 55/60 minutes, so both should improve on last years average I think mate

Ofa averages 51 when playing over 50 minutes as well (11 games last year)

Was just going to mention I see both having value with the loss of McGuire, Sims and Thaiday. Good chance I end up with both of them

Looking at Watson's run metres and tackle busts from his previous fullback stint he looks to have a fantastic base with potential to explode. Off chance the experiment fails and Ponga ends up back at 1 but I certainly have an eye on Watson

100% my advice to him as well. Obviously he has other issues that needs dealing with but removing booze will have the biggest positive impact on his life.

Apparently J.Oneill and TMM was with him. Surely if they really had a good team culture those boys would be first to say, look mate, settle the fuck down, look where you are mate! Instead they just let it happen

Well to be honest, they were probably blind drunk too. I'm not defending them, but it's easy for situations to escalate in the blink of an eye.

Obviously I don't know what actually happened, but it wouldn't be the first time the events that actually occurred are a little less sensational than the way the media have reported it.

Apparently they just stood back & did nothing while Barba was attacking his partner. Someone posted on here or fb a statement from the mother of one of the bouncers which confirmed this. She also said when the bouncers told him to bugger off, Barba used the old......don't you know who I am line. As you said I don't know why O'Neill or TMM didn't intervene & calm the situation.

Re Dragons, Norman will definitely be 6 in my opinion.

There seem to be a fair few people convinced that Aitken has lost his place in the side. That would surprise me.
