Sivo coming back from an injury.

Bevan is no chance for the wing, which is why he is so set on fullback and a little discontented.
Haxe Dunster, Rhys Davies, Josh Hoffman, Oregon Kaufusi, Ethan Parry, & Stefano Utoikamanu all are very unlikely to start in a full strength side.

Know when Sivo is due back from injury and if he is in the running to start in the first few rounds when healthy?

Started back at contact training this week, but just the one session.. Anybody's guess if he starts R1, however, he was specifically purchased for his size out wide and many in the club are eagerly anticipating him to start. He will 100% play this season though. How could you not?

Awesome, thanks for sharing. Long suffering Eels fans need some good news.

Agree with this 100% more time new players getting used to the new team the better. Also gives coaches a chance to see what some players are like when they have to step up with a lot of their regular team out like Allan in his first trial

Could have been played ahead of Crichton at Panthers though too.

Seriously tempted to add him as a loop over the first few rounds. Eels have the best schedule for it, playing at the end of the first few rounds.

    .

Friend was my biggest mistake last season. Brought him in and he sat on the bench, scoring 20s and 30s, after first 3 rounds killing it.

If we are doing that WAGS league again this team might not be a bad starting team.
Might need to be adjusted after TLT to get all the starting cows. Thoughts.

Ok, so after all that, why not build a cows team based on the assumption all that mob are starters?

    Mahoney
    Twal Fotuaika
    DFifita Sorensen Carty
    Salmon Mann
    Capewell S.Mata'utia
    Sivo, Drinkwater, Lomax

    Radley Egan CNK Garrick
    Allan Keighran Burr Ravalawa

Leaves a cool $2.13mn in the bank.

Yes, this team has some problems. The halves are weak. WFB could use a gun. There isn't a natural C choice. The second row is probably leaving some points on the table, and there's not a lot of cover on the bench.

But it would earn some serious coin.

    R1-11 averaged 61 minutes and 40 points
R12-25 including finals averaged 75 minutes and 55 points

coincided with Radley starting so if that's the case this year Friend could be a go-er

I owned him too last year, although we might have owned him at different times. But he can be a gun, has been in the past. Start of season he was being needled up for a sternum injury which really slowed him down. He was much better end of season. that could continue.

Best sign for Friends minutes will be if Radley starts and no hooker on the bench. Would be the only scenario I would consider him in.

Not really, best case scenario for you is people will probably have 2-3 come first bye. The reason people are looking at so many is more the value rather than 6 keepers. Plenty of time to dilute before round 12.

I don't think that really helps that much because let's say Liu comes on, Radley goes to hooker and spells Friend. So no hooker on bench doesn't guarantee 80 minutes for Friend. WCC may help a little with guessing rotations.

Couldn’t agree more for both players, both could be considered if this plays out.

Friend is $$s I don't have and last season Hodgson was coming back from injury. His upside for me is consistent scoring to start the season at a handy price.

Completely entitled to go for him mate if it’s your gut feeling, I had him in 17 to start the season after watching him carve up the year earlier. Just a hint of caution he’s capable of an 18 over 80mins. He’s never really hit gun status and at that awkward price you’ll find it hard to jump on a gun if he fails early. He’s on my never again list as he destroyed my game from round 2 or 3 that year.

Last season coming back from injury as you say avg was 44.7. The year before was 43.3 so it's not like the return from injury slowed him down. Did get 48.7 the year before that, but 46 the year before that. He's mid range and unless you see the proposed change to the spine or something else changing things, why would you pick him?
