Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 thread part 7
On the assumption that Clifford starts next to Morgan and Hodkinson grabs the 6 jersey at Manly how are we planning to structure the halves position?
Are we going to have a glut of halves similar to last year when everyone started with multiple hookers? Will we see anyone game enough to run 2 cheapies in the halves and 1 on the bench?

Gagan scored 2 tries playing in Jennings vacated wing position. In 2018 Jennings scored tries on the left edge as Souths seemed to prefer that attacking edge. Gagan could be the beneficiary of that in 2019.

He probably grabs the starting centre spot for round 2, might take him as a benchie with a loophole chance

If only it was possible to fit both Fifita and Taupau in. Looks like Turbo is out of my starting side.

Go to the link below to find stats on each trial game once they post them:

I think Ramesh and Sanjay were on the booze last night so it might take a while for stats to be posted

I like your team. I have been working out how to do it as well. If I play Brown and Keighran, with Ravalawa in my 13 at WFB I can do it.

Yesterday's trial didn't really inspire confidence in Lomax as a cow. I know he's a popular pick, but he could well turn out to be a dud fantasy wise. I won't play him in my starting 17

Based on trial much rather run ravalawa if he gets a spot

I agree, he got some good touches. I would pick him over Lomax. As someone mentioned, playing next to Aitken or Lafai could make a big difference

Whoever plays outside Lafai I think was the way to lean.
I really want to start with Mahoney as my HOK. But no guarantees he even plays let alone plays 80

- Kikau suspected medial grade 1-2. Grade two would be looking at 2-4 weeks
- Sele was really strong early and ended that game with most metres of any player on the field with ~130. Sele was playing the role JFH would normally fill as third middle being treated as a prop. Got through plenty of work but minutes will depends on how bad Kikau injury is and if he is replaced by JFH going to edge or Liam Martin grabbing a spot. One for the watch list
So Fuimaono is further down the pecking order, or they prefer him as Centre cover?

You will know closer to TLT, Brad Arthur doesn't tend to leave it up to guesswork like other coaches. I would prefer to see Mahoney as the starting hooker, to me he looks composed and in control, he might lack some experience but I think he'll do well. We'll just need to wait and see if Luke comes across

Looks like at this stage is preferred as centre cover, outside chance he grabs an edge spot

At this stage I’ll have 2 cheapies and Morgan. Even with Clifford he offers enough to be near a must have.multiple.scoregasms wrote:On the assumption that Clifford starts next to Morgan and Hodkinson grabs the 6 jersey at Manly how are we planning to structure the halves position?

Every season I've relied heavily on cheap halves it has resulted in catastrophe for me, but I'm still rolling with Morgo and D Brown because I'm stupid and don't learn from my mistakes, apparently

Which halves did you start with last season?
